The major raid for the pandarens will have a red blue or green ending. Raid leader will be required to do a ready check to vote and then go with the majority rule. If someone goes afk and doesn't vote, it's a wipe!

@op, made me laugh.

Mojang: Mars Effect

Mojang announced a new game called Mars effect. A not-so-subtle nod to their recent altercation with Bethesda over
the use of the word scrolls. The website states that they pondered many
other game names like "Steve online" and "Wind Commander". In the
features of the game, one of the bullet points says "A game ending that
makes sense"
which is an obvious nod to the recent Mass effect 3 ending uproar.

On paper it seems like such a simple thing...

Well, EA and Bioware are not counting any more of my money. Bought ME3 and saw what a load of crap it became, not getting anything else from BW/EA.

As for Blizzard smack at BW, good work. Well said and funny to boot. Now let's see how many endings did BW promise initially? This will then allow us to assume how many "DLC's" there will be coming...

When even blizzard takes potshots at your storyline you know you have issues with your writing.

It's funny and deserved, but it wont be long until Blizzard gets their own sh*tstorm, when people realize that the ideal developer of the past is long gone. They're all business these days, just like EA. And who could blame them?

They will make loads of money with Diablo 3 and it's ingame market where players can trade for real money. They will probably make thousands of chinese kids unemployed. xD

The only practical differnce I can see if that Blizzard now get a piece of the pie and they have legal grounds to prevent unauthorised selling.
It's not really my thing , but I'd be far more comfortable buying from Blizzard than some random guy on the internet.

I could kiss Blizzard right now.

Due in no small part to the fact that, despite pairing up with a leech like Activision, they've never once (And never will.) sell their souls to them.

The great irony is that Blizzard have (at least one of) their very own god-child caliber **** up in SCII. At least Bioware are better at dialogue and character.

They aren't just taking a jab with the text.... I 'played' the 'game'. Shortest game ever. LOL. Dunno where that is a reference to though ^^
Also, they're taking a jab at the practice of everyone who just got slightly linked to a game (even if they are just the toilet cleaner at the developer office) with the list of those 'involved into the production'. 'Best boy', 'bestest boy' etc :P

I'm not a fan of Blizzard really, but how are they the money eating monster you view the to be? Or more likely, what were they before?

We can't compare present reality to times when games like Warcraft: Orcs vs Humans, or even Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness were made. Warcraft 3 continued the story pretty well, wow does so too, as far as I understand - there were few retcons and stupid stuff, but wow actually is a spiritual successor to the Warcraft games, it actually added more depth to the universe than there ever was before it.

Starcraft 2? They did exactly the thing Starcraft fans wanted - they just updated the already existing framework, there was no major innovation because there was no need for one.

The only thing I have against them is that they take incredibly long to make their games. Just because they make money doesn't mean they.are Satan.

And about pairing up with Activision... both Blizzard and Activision are property of the Vivendi juggernaut and it was Vivendi who made the decision to merge them - you might as well moan at BioWare for merging with Mythic, from solely financial reasons I presume. Facts, look for them and process.

Think about it:
  • "Pushed to their limits, the beleaguered terrans plan a last-ditch attempt to save their people from extinction." = Direct quote off their site.
  • "They enter deep development on the most important research project of their time, one that will elevate warfare forever." = I guess you would have needed to have finished ME3 to understand that.
  • "Mankind's last resort is...Supply Depot!" = think about this one logically. Mankinds last hope is to combine the resources of all of the races into one specific thing...which, if it wasn't named after some scientific project, would be a supply depot with a lab or a construction site.
  • Shortest game ever = Mass Effect 3 is the shortest in the trilogy, by far.
  • "Endless hours of gaming" = Most mass effect players have put in at LEAST 100, averaging 150-200.
  • "including repeat playthroughs" = Play through 3 times for all your achievements, and different LIs/option selections
  • "Deep, rewarding gameplay" = Need I say more? Also, screenshots like http://us.blizzard.c...epot/thumb2.jpg is a direct jab at the fact that Mass Effect is mostly talking and character based, something that appears over-complicated or incredibly boring to people who aren't fans of the genre
  • "Riveting backstory" = need I say more?
  • "Multiple endings, each influenced by your choices" = need I say more?
  • "color-coded for your convenience" = I better not need to say more.
  • "Further epic endings planned for post-release as downloadable content" = We ended Mass Effect 3 being told to expand Shepard's legacy with DLC that would be released at a later date. Which also includes Bioware's statement that they are/are thinking of making DLC for more different endings.
  • The font they use on the website looks pretty damn similar to Mass Effect's logo.
My nerd rage is now finished. You have been schooled, ser.

Actually, Warcraft had 3 games and multiple expansions out, plus books, before World of Warcraft came around.
World of Warcraft utterly destroyed and savaged all Warcraft lore. They have constantly been doing retcons and hotfixes, trying to cover their trails, but we all know that they suddenly made the leap from airships to flying mountains and space ships, while making chain of command errors for their bosses.

The Draenai alone were a completely corrupted people, but somehow a handful managed to escape Illidan, mass-produce in less than a year, repopulated multiple random areas and even an island of their own, and they even got a flying mountain out of the deal that...crashed, looking a lot more like a spaceship than a flying mountain, actually. Although again, they never specifically had an issue with the Blood Elves, and if the Blood Elves were free of corruption, I don't see why they'd be trying to shoot down another recently freed peoples from their awesome space wars. They never explained it.

Need I say more? You discredited yourself right there, my friend.

If by "update the existing framework" with starcraft 2 you mean that Blizzard took Broodwars gameplay lowered the skill ceiling a few kilometers and named it SCII then you would be correct.
