@jimbo

Do you happen to know what exactly "LotSB mission B", is? Or A , C, or D for that matter?

One of the sections of the DLC I guess. No idea why it isn't just a single variable like "Completed LotSB".

Edit:
Now that I think about it, it could be a few things. Mention is made of the video feeds in the broker base when you speak to Liara's father. But I'm sure some people never bothered with them, so it would be reasonable to assume that there's a variable for them. Maybe the dossiers too, but I don't recall any conversation about them.

I beat LOTSB with both my Broshep and Femshep, but only femshep romanced Liara in ME1 and 2. Ive already beaten ME3 with broshep, Im playing through as my imported ME2 femshep now. I had a save on mars just before you take the lift up to meet liara first, thats the save I edited. So far no huge differences, Liara is acting a bit more flirty then before, but I haven't noticed any huge difference yet, at what point is it obvious ?.

Also, I think the only thing from LOTSB that doesn't import is if you romanced Liara, Ive heard from people who didn't play LOTSB that Liara explains how she became the shadow broker, she didnt do this in my broshep play through of ME3..

You notice it in some of the conversations, most notably the first one aboard the Normandy.

Yup, confirmed, I dont thin it gets more obvious then that. So I guess as long as you edit any save before you meet Liara (the last being just before you activate the lift on mars that triggers the first cut scene with her), everything works out fine B)

Gibbed works for xbox saves, doesn't it? I mean, there's no doubt it should be fixed, but you can do it yourself in the meantime.

Many people have complained about Liara not properly recognizing the events of "Lair of the Shadow Broker", so here's how to fix it.

Requires Gibbed Save Editor which can be downloaded here (sort by "last modifed" to get the most recent build).

EDIT:
The newest version of Gibbed (saveedit-r79_b97) has the proper options added as standard checkboxes. On the ME2 "missions" tab, put a check next to each of the LotSB missions. On the ME2 "romance" tab, put a check next to "Liara toured the Normandy". Once that's done, and you've saved the game in Gibbed, you should be good to go.

Set Liara to recognize the romance activities related to LoTSB

1. Open save game editor and then go to the "Plot" tab.
2. Input all of the following IDs (one by one) into the "Bool" textbox. Then press "Get" button. Tick the box for to set true.

14169, 6927, 6931, 6815, 7051, 7035, 7151 and 6941

can you choose the top one only or do you have to do both of these things?

They pretty much achieve the same thing, so no need to do both. The maker of Gibbed was nice enough to include the LotSB booleans as checkboxes. It might not hurt to double-check the bools manually I guess, but as I said in the OP (and you can see it in the screenshots), my characters who had romanced Liara and completed LotSB had everything set to "true" except for 7035, 7151, and 6941. Those three are all available as checkboxes.

Anyway, good point. I should probably clarify that in the OP.

Yes, all of the proper dialogue choices will be there.

Without making the changes, Liara acts as though Lair of the Shadow Broker didn't happen.

I've used this method and it works perfectly. Hopefully this will be officially patched at some point but until then this is the best solution.

Bump, hope this is getting looked into by Bioware. Postponing my Liara playthrough until it's addressed.

Do you edit a ME3 save or ME2?

ME3. Just save and edit right after getting control of Shepard at the beginning. As long as you do it before you meet Liara, you should be good.

Hello,I downloaded the save editor for the first time today, and I never heard about this thread before (I landed here after googling "flag liara toured").
During ME3 importation it says "romanced Liara in ME1 and no romance in ME2,I stay faithfull and romanced her in the DLC) => flag inactive.
I have an other problem : on ME1 i saved Zhu's hope colony and Shiala survived (saw her soon during ME2) but the flag is inactive.. Am I alone with this issue?
And an other with Jacob's personnal mission,no flag is activated... It's strange,I will wait some answers before playing ME3.

Thanks for reading and have fun

(please forgive my bad English,I'm French :D )

The thing with Jacob doesn't have any affect on anything that I noticed. Still, I usually check "Dad arrested" just in case. Same with Zhu's hope - if you'd left Shiala alive and preserved the colony, make sure that those two are checked since it has an affect on ME3 quests.

As for Liara, as long as you follow the instructions in the opening post, you should be fine. Just make sure to make the edits before meeting her for the first time.

Hi, I was hondering if I need to check this for my Shepard. My Male Shepard romanced Kaidan in ME1, stayed faithful in ME2 and I showed Liara the Nomandy during LotSB.

Do I still need to check 'Liara toured the Normandy' for her to recognise the event or will it get in the way of my Kaidan romance? Furthermore, if I check it does it make Liara think I romanced her, or just that I showed her the ship? I am confused because the option is under the 'romance' section.

Thanks

There are conversations which change depending on LotSB regardless whether you romanced her or not, so I would say that it wouldn't hurt to have the Tour option checked. My most recent playthrough is a Miranda romance (he romanced Ashley in ME1), and I checked off all the LotSB options without any weirdness happening.

I wish that Gibbed would include more romance explanation and variables in the ME3 editor. As it is, the ME2 section doesn't give you any romance options at all, which is a particular pain if you romanced (or want to) someone who doesn't appear as a squadmate in ME3.

I've tried every single one of these, all the codes are right and still, no liara romance...

The romance still doesn't happen until 3/4 through the game - the same as VS, Traynor, etc. The solutions here are so Liara will recognize that LotSB actually happened, rather than talking like you hadn't spent time together in years.

I think it's completely dumb, but apparently the writers made a decision that all romances should trigger at around the same time in-game. Despite the fact that the situation with Liara is potentially quite different than the others, being that the events of LotSB are very recent. Having her kinda suggest that they're just good friends when Shepard had just told her a few months before that s/he wanted to pick up where they had left off is...preposterous.

Although considering how BioWare treated the Thane/Jacob/Jack/Miranda romances, I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

Well there is a conversation that happens the first time you talk to liara on the normandy where she asks you if you want to pick things up or not?

Does this work for femshep only?

I got manly shep and it doesn't seem to work whether I did the changes before mars or even on a gameplussave edit off a me3 char..

Unless you're telling me that I have to import from me2 with the changes for it to work?
