If I ever met him, it's be a toss up whether I'd want him to say, "Not bad. For a human." or "Hackett out."

Not "I like this human, he understands!"?

Evolving into the next step of humanity?

2001 A Space Odyessy makes sense. The Mass Effect 3 ending does not.

Also the sequel is not as good as the first.

That is really awesome you got to meet him Capatin. He seems to be a very personable and I can imagine it was fun to talk to him.     I have always been a fan of his and used to watch the Millenium television series all the time.  Meeting a celebrity always seems like fun but it always seems to be more of a treat when it is one of your favorties.

Another trip down memory lane and a treat for me was finding out Robert Pine did the VA for Master Orgus Din in TOR. I used to watch ChiPs religiously growing up. LOL  :P

It's Hackett man! He wouldn't lie to us! So we might very well see something awesome.

You know what I find sad. If you google "Mass Effect 3 announcement at PAX" there are a number of sites saying that Bioware has something big to announce solely based on this thread. I find it hilarious that "gaming journalists" are getting their news from these forums.

That was 2010 The Year We Make Contact.
I love that movie.

I know that. It still isn't as good as 2001.

Honestly, if I knew it was going to end up like this, I would not have created this thread, because if people become disappointed about this so called "big and amazing" news, then people will lynch me for it. I don't wanna be known as a "source". I don't like having my nickname put on game news site. For all we know, it might not really be so big and amazing after all. What I'm saying is, keep your hopes up, but keep it limited.

Yesterday I met and talked to Lance Henriksen at a Sci-fi convention in Sweden. For those who don't know, Lance is the one who does Hackett's voice. http://en.wikipedia....Lance_Henriksen He was really friendly and we talked for a few minutes.

EDIT: For those who don't believe me, here is the link of the convention I visited.  http://www.scifiworld.se Look at the guest list.

EDIT2: Another person met him at the convention social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/323/index/10873964

I said he did a good job with the voice casting. I told him I recognized his voice as soon as Hackett spoke. Lance asked me what I thought about the game itself, and my reply was that it was great until the ending. He has heard a lot about the people's reactions and he understands them because there was not much closure. Also, he also knows what is going to happen in the future with the story of ME3 but he is not allowed to say anything. Finally, he said Bioware are planning to announce something big and amazing at PAX next friday.

Just letting you know :)

Here's to hoping! Cool that you got to meet him. He did a great job with the voice work. I could listen to his voice all day.

The biggest issue is that on April 1st, we believe nothing said.  Especially if it sounds like good news.  I disdain that tradition myself.  Nay, loathe.

I consider it superior for focusing on the narrative and character development instead of "Look at this spaceship doing nothing for 10 hours!"

People need a little hope, there are far too many pessimists here on BSN trying to drag everyone in to the mud. Will it be perfect/exactly what we want? No and never. But I get the strong feeling that Bioware has been holding back a little on us. Time will tell :)

I do not think you're lying. In fact, your information is based on events that actually happened (the event) or will happen (PAX). Also does not is anything absurd. So I believe in the information!

Meh, hype. But, kudos to you on meeting the man, the myth, the legend.

I always thought if they made a Dark Tower film, he'd make an excellent Roland. The eyes, the gravelly voice... might be too old for it now, but still. Always liked him.

Ain't that the truth.

If I hear another "They'll just announce Take Back Omega/Multiplayer DLC" or "They'll just add a text epilogue/a 10 second scene showing why Joker fled", I'll scream. Well I won't but you get the picture.

Wait till the announcement and then make your mind up but if either of the above holds true, I will be very surprised.

It's not about truth or lies that bothers me. It's that I think people are taking two words, "big" and "amazing" a little too far. But I should have seen that coming, considering how desperate people around here are for even the slightest bit of hope. I know that feel, because I was also struck badly by the ending of ME3. Some gaming sites have even linked to this thread, mentioning my and Henriksen's names as sources. Maybe Bioware will announce awesome stuff about the ending at PAX, or, they will release news about new multiplayer maps. Until proven otherwise, treat all these "news" as rumors only, and not as facts.

Thanks.

I just think it was cool that you got to meet lance, would have loved to meet him and tell him how much i appreciate him both as a VA and actor. For once something cool happens near me and i miss out Posted Image

Regarding the rumor. No one is gonna remember or care where it came from once PAX is over, even if its a fluke. Its news now, because its all we have atm. If the announcement is a fluke, people are gonna be focused on bioware not you. So dont worry to much about it and enjoy the brief internet recognition as a news source for socalled "journalists" Posted Image

I think its on par with sourcing wiki. I guess since this is Biowares official forum anything we say must be official.

Oh, and I met Casey Hudson. Yeah, he told me the announcement is that these "gaming journalists" need to find more reliable sources.
