I'd sell my shares out of disgust.

I don't know how to make video games, and I don't want to screw up good things.

I refuse to be a part of the company that made the ME 3 endings however.

i would make the endings even worse just to see u all cry

A mate of mine, an artist, said that's exactly what he'd do if he were in BW's shoes right now. That they should make the point that it's their artistic vision, not ours, and complaining about it won't sway a real artist the way you'd want. Then he said there was no such thing as bad art, just self-expression.

Artists like that aren't real artists - they're whiny little cowards who can't bear criticism. A real artist would take it on the chin and then try harder and do better. And everyone would be richer for that.

Agreed. Criticism is part of the artistic process. You either give a statement saying you're happy with what you did or you say you're going to make changes based on feedback.

Whatever you do, you don't become M. Night Shyamalamalamalmaman and get so lost up your own backside that you don't realize nobody thinks you're deep or clever. Cutting yourself off from the critical process engenders nobody's respect. It's one thing when it's just trollish comments, it's another when people are writing detailed essays on why your 'artistic vision' doesn't work in the slightest.

Fire Casey Hudson, made a great mistake. No peer editing, no reviewing with head writer, believed himself to be a genius writer with no credibility. Not a team player, narcist, useless to working with a team.

Later have team work on something to correct the ending, asure fans what would be occurring. Let them know how long it may take and what format it might take. Would prefer it to be free, but if not add other bonus content to it to make sure it's worth the price.

Then conisder possibility of Mass MMO after altered deserved ending. Already running MMO, consider option for a free to play Mass Effect MMO. Micro transactions suitable. Release for new Xbox, PC, and PS3.

If I was given full title to BW today I would:

-- Call an emergency meeting with ME3 creative heads
-- Find out what is going on [What was the original plan? What's the plan as of yesterday?]
-- Find out what type(s) of test screenings the game had.
-- Based on game code and finances what can we do to come closer to meeting prelaunch promises
-- Within one week try to communicate something "concrete" to the fans

I know the Indoc Theory has a few issues, but if I were Bioware I'd run with it as if that were my plan all along.

First thing I would do is take a running jump into a green beam of light and then rewrite ME3 ending from before the attack on TIM's base. This could combine some of the best ideas of the community and those of the original writing team (If I could get them back) thus creating a new ending.

The resulting explosion would create lots of these --> :wizard::D:D <--- across the galaxy.

Divorce EA, fire all the writers and out source the writing to obsidian (black isles). Obsidian can't program to save their lives but they can write!

I would have sell it long ago. with that kind of ending, it would be suicide to keep it.....

but if I can assume direct control:

leave EA (leave far away...)
beg for Drew to come and save ME3
but first of all, make a big apologize to all ME fan that I have betrayed with that ugly thing (and for lie...), and not hiding behind an "artistic point of view"......
and make a free dlc to save future game (who want to buy bioware game with that kind of issue?)

1: Announce new management.
2: Announce that we are sorry for the ****** poor endings
3: Announce trying to fix it and that it will take time.
3.5: Tell all employees to stop talking in "PR language".
4: Find how long it would take to fix and how much (free to customer is possible).
5: If possible advise fans of rough time frame (if not free advise fans why and try to keep cost to a minimum).
6: Keep everyone up to date on progress (every week or so).
7: Deliver
8: If all goes well, ask fans for another chance and prove it by producing another brilliant game like Bioware was known for in the past.

Edit: The hard bit would be trying to find out what would "fix" this ending and try and give the 16 different endings if possible. If not at least explain why to customers.

Sell it, build a castle with the profits, sell the castle, pay for a ride up to space.

Because Richard Garriott had the right idea when he bailed from Origin after making the mistake of letting EA into his house.

I would much rather be on the board of Bioware, because the board members have a say on the bonuses of the senior staff, share prices, management issues. Use that as a leverage to fix the ME3 ending fiasco: "The board will not grant annual bonus until you satisfy our loyal customers!"

Just a dream...

If I owned BioWare this scenario would never have happened. Drew Karpshyn would be my writer. Mac Walters would have stuck to Garrus. I would still have BioWare as an independent company, not operating under EA, Microsoft, or Valve. I would not have placed any timeline on Mass Effect 3's release beyond "When it's ready."

Say that I take over after the release of Mass Effect 3. I would sever all ties with EA, clean house, begin development of a heavily altered Mass Effect 3, show that the opinion of the fans is more important than those of syndicated review sites, and begin development of a HD remake of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.

I would have kept Bioware privately owned and not sold to EA. Create my own engine for Bioware games and then release a free toolkit for all Bioware games.
