Assemble the writing team (and by that I mean the guys and gals that wrote stuff like Mordin's sacrifice and the Geth/Quarian resolution, not whoever was responsible for the current endings). Ask Drew if he could come back down for a few days too. Sit them all in one room, give them all the delicious Chinese takeout they want.

Tell them "At least a dozen endings, please. As awesome as you can make them." Have the results produced. That's it.

(Oh, and order a Planescape: Torment with updated graphics and full voices.)

Destroy DA2, never make an MMO and tell Casey to take 3 years instead of 2 year to make ME3.

1. Try to free my company from EA.
2. Hire a full-time psychologist who specializes in HCI and have them study factors of player stake and engagement in the genres we dev for.
3. Apply a software engineering process to the writing. (Or adjust it, if one is already in place.)

If I owned Bioware here are the seven things I would do:
1. Better communication with gamers & fans, not only on this forum or Bioware Twitter, but also on any forum dedicated to a Bioware game(s). Fans and players love to communicate to developers even if it is to complain.
2. Quit trying to immitate what is popular . Just because something is popular does not mean it is right.
3. Hire a larger QA department to fix the bugs.
4. 3-6 months after a DLC is available, reduce the price of it to encourage more buyers.
5. This ties in to the first step I would do, I would encourage all the developers to be more open with the gamer community. yes there are rotten people that will say some terrible things but they are saying this because they are or were fans of the company. If a game company made terrible video games they would be no one talking about the game, they would forget it and move on. Only Bioware and a select few has that kind of vast fanbase. I would encourage all the developers to be open even if all the fans do is complain because secretly, the fans love communication.
6. Get rid of the Galactic Readiness Rating for ME 3, or better yet don't ever make multiplayer a necessary component of the single player game, the two should be seperate experiences.
7. Make TOR into a single player game.

I will be 100% honest and i hope people understand my point of view.

The first thing i would´ve done is fire kacey Hudson, he was the face of mass effect/bioware during the 2011 ad campain, and everyone will always remember all his promises and lies.
And then make a true statement on the bioware´s blog about how important it is for a company to have sells.. without sells there is no income, with no income you will get bankrup, so i will also comunicate all the online magazines not to say ¨fans should not ask for a different ending¨ because the fans are paying my salary.

Cmon guys Casey has done some great work over the past and most of the people love the game but hate the ending. No need for the man to be fired.

This is gonna get locked for spam. We might as well start placing bets on who will do it and when. I'm putting $10 on Stanley Woo before this thread reaches 7 pages.

bad image can damage a company alot.

watch how many people resign their job when the majority thinks the product is bad.
Why is this different?

I won't pretend that I could do a better job. But if they just gave me five minutes, I could probably still write a better ending.

Well since EA owns Bioware.... This could be fun...
Okay, well I guess I would focus games into three categories:
1. sports games (because they won't stop making them and it's a lot of profit)
2. A very selective group of big budget titles
3. small budget digital distribution games

I would then bring back the mercenaries series and cut excess entries in the Need for speed series (making only 1 iteration every 2 years and build it up as a major release) and other series that there are way too many of that don't make all that much money and waste resources.

Basically what EA needs to do is be run by someone who is not completely incompetent.

1) Fix the Mass Effect 3 Ending: Provide multiple endings, one happy, total reaper victory ending and look at a few more suggestions in order to provide a suitable ending for people's story. We've all become part of the mass effect story and i'd try to keep the customers happy.

2) SWTOR: Part of the problem i had with swtor was the 11/12 odd dailies at the max level and the boring flashpoints and operations. I'd try to make them a bit more exciting while adding something similar to the rift invasions from rift in order to add extra activities to keep people occupied.

3) Dragon Age: Ensure companions are enjoyable and fun maybe some dull one's which eventually turn out to be cool after all (sten). Go back to orgrins and look at what we did right then use that to further dragon age 3's goals think a huge open world similar to skyrim but with way better RPG elements.

4) Employees - I'll make sure employee's dont make wild outlandish claims in order to sell our products it does nothing to foster faith and trust if we fail to deliver. Being open and honest with our customers would be the best thing to do expecially since many of them have been following bioware since day 1.

I would go back to the old days of Bioware and leave EA, back then BW had a lot less stress. Bioware made a lot more original games without EA.

If I owned Bioware, then there would be spankings... Spankings for everyone... Even that naughty Martin Sheen. Then there would be cake for all Bioware employee's responsible for Mass Effect 3's ending. (of coarse this cake would be used as a metaphor for some kind of incinerator.)

If I owned Bioware . . . Does that mean that I OWN it and not EA or that I am EA?

IF the first then I would go about making real RPGs again.

For the Mass Effect franchise I would have a massive DLC that replaced the ending from the time you get to London with a much more detailed choice driven battle much like the suicide mission from ME2.  Then I would choose the canon version that gave me the best possibility for continuing the franchise and begin working on a game that had the game mechanics of 3 (tweaked a bit) but with much more RPG (choosing race, More customization for character, gear, etc. and more choices in conversations).  I would also go with sometimes implementing the timed conversation system from Alpha Protocol as that gave a nice sense of urgency at times.  Choice and Consequence system.

For the Dragon Age franchise I would have the current graphic system tweaked to improve the looks of the dark spawn as well as revision the Elves to Blend the current and the original versions into something much more attractive (notice how even the anime does not use the current elf design).  The next step would be to tweak the DA2 engine and combat system a bit (no explosions, include the cool killing animations,  change around some of the skill trees/specializations, etc.) then I would have more RPG put in the game (IE make it a hybrid between DA and DA2 in that you get to choose race, customize full gear, weapons, etc.).   Full Choice and Consequence system as well as some timed dialog responses.

For both franchises I would make the romances be harder to achieve, have to be initiated by the player, and have a more drawn out process with zero points for giving bribes.  I would also have characters who were either straight or gay as well as a few who are bi vs. everyone being Character Sexual.  The player should get shot down sometimes.

Then I would have a new team begin working on a cyberpunk or shadow run type setting.
