When I imported my Shepard his eyebrows became all of a sudden huge and hairy, despite having thin eyebrows in ME2, not to mention the nose and cheeks.

I know, OP. It's garbage. I keep hoping that they'll fix this w/ a patch but I doubt it. Oh, well. Maybe next game. Maybe.

This has nothing to do with animations but with code coherency and consistency, it is easily fixable and patchable.
In the cut scene code, they have a line that designates what weapon
Shepard holds. It's very apparent that in some cases they used
%current_equipped_weapon% instead of %default_rifle%. It's the fact
that they didn't stick with %current_equipped_weapon% (or whatever the
named variable they used) was not consistent across the game.

I noticed a lot of it too. I shrugged it off at the time.
But its just another thing to add to the list of 'minor things that all add up to become one very annoying thing - immersion breaking errors'. Sure, no game is going to be perfect (especially not on release). But to openly lie, then ignore feedback and never even address the issue in writing...that's low.
And considering many people play for the story and the immersion, breaks are a big deal. Just like it would be a big deal if a Multiplayer character picked a different weapon, but each time they loaded they had a Predator and an Avenger.

I really wish there was more outcry about this and degraded animations than about the endings.
At least they could have fixed it by now.
Other developers fix stuff by themselves because they have standards, but not Bioware..
