I know now what bioware did wrong. They made the ending to complex for the avarage consumer! After have read sooooo many stupid comments its no wonder people complain. These are the three most common ones:

1) The citadel will destroy earth when it hits because its so big like asteroid big!

Wrong! Now, to cut things short and hope for the best: Not only does the citadel not have the regiured velocity, but it also lack the density to do any force upon impact, cause most of the energy created will just compress the citadel.

2) When the relays brake up all the races are stuck on earth and they will starve to death duh!

This is more of a " have you been paying attention in the game" kind of question! If you have been paying attention you would have known that FTL is possible without the relays. Why do you require fuel to travel to other systems in the same nebula? Its still lightyears away you know. How does joker escape the collector ship in ME2? As i recal, there are no relays around, but still he manage to achieve FTL....huh wierd. There are more eksamples i could have brought up, but for the moment i wont.

3) The relays blow up like the relay in arrival, so everyone dies anyway!

Again wrong! It is a logic answer to this aswell, both story and a little scientific. Based on the decisions you make at the end the resulting energy is either a energy that destroy synthetic LIFE, that changes the DNA of every living thing or a energy that gives organics the possibility to control the reapers. Now, this energy must reach every reaper in the galaxy. How can it do that? If the energy travels from the citadel at the speed of light it would take
100 000 years to reach the other side of the galaxy. The reapers can get the chance to escape! The only way to either destroy, change or control the reapers fast enough is to use the relays. They are spread across the entire galaxy. This way the energy travles at FTL through every relay out there. Though spreading this energy stresses the realys to much, which leads them to break apart aferwards.

Hopefully this gives bioware some peace from these questions...
