OMG! How come so many people actually believe in the Indoctrination Theory? I mean, for real?!!

It doesn't give hope, it explains the ending. the IT is true stop denying it seriously, you just look ignorant.VampireSoap wrote...

A very good example, thank you! It is exactly what I've been trying to say. All the Indoctrination Theory does is really just give hope to desperate people. It preys on people who are in a vulnerable stage.

If indoc theory is correct, that means the game only had ONE correct end choice, rather than three, and that means lots of people look even more foolish for believeing that they would get their 'multiple choice endings'...
and more foolish for forking out for an unfinished game.
It's not bad to have a different point of view, you know.
Well even if one picked the wrong choice its still possible to play the game's ending out. I mean wouldn't it be a good idea to have the finale play out differently depending on whether you picked control, synthetis or destroy. Could play an indoctrinated Shepard and have the dreaded task of killing your former comrades and bringing the galaxy's forces into ruin, or resisting it with every fiber of your being to try and turn it into some kind of heroic sacrifice. Honestly those sound like good moments to me. And destroy just gives you the opportunity to get the golden ending, not a gurantee.
I agree. But as the game stands, I'm teleported back to TIM's base on my 'choice', giving the impresson that I'm meant to try again (after another purchase), properly, and get it right this time.
DLC should not be needed. If the game wasn't finished. It should never have shipped.
I'm now expecting KoA to finish with some unknown writer who was shipped in for the last chapter at very little expense!

The Indoctrination Theory is not true, hence why it is a theory. It is a speculation on what actually happened in the endings we got, that is all. I would like it to be true, but again it is not. It will only be true once BioWare actually comes out and says something to confirm either the entire theory or some of the points made by it.Chrillze wrote...

Dear iVitriol, I politely ask you to leave this thread if you are not going to discuss the topic. It is not an order but rather a humble request. Because I still want to see what others might say about believing the indoctrination theory.
Might I also remind you that in a poll iVitriol created, he asked for the opinions of people on the ME3 endings. The comments of those who disagreed were deleted. And the comment of mine that called him out on it was deleted, I received a PM about how I am "a crony" and that he subsequently blocked me. Trust me this guy's word holds no water ever and any opinions that oppose his are never met with arguments with substance. Also the fact that he has not yet replied to my most recent post above should say something; he must have run out of teenage insults. Too bad he can't explain his madness to me.
And now that he is in a thread he cannot control, he cannot simply delete posts he does not agree with, and instead results to "Oh look the troll" and "Hey its the d*ckrider again" as his "comebacks" or "arguments" as I am sure he sees them.
As for the indoc theory, I beleive some but not all of the points made on it.
Yeah, I've seen people like that, and I just think they are still very young and they should be given time to learn. Arguing with them just simply encourages their childish attitude.
Ah, and the indoc theory, pesonally I don't think most points in the theory make sense. If it is a theory, it should include all the possibilities, but the IT just picks one possible outcome of the event and claim that it's true. So it's not really a "theory" but rather a speculation.

I believe some of what the theory proclaims, because some of the points make better sense of the endings. But like Melrache said, speculation does not equal proof or truth. A theory is just a theory, not truth or fact, merely speculation on existing facts. You cannot produce a shred of proof that confirms the theory is truth from a BioWare developer, so don't strut about claiming its true. Even the originators of the theory do not claim it to be true, only a way to explain the endings and that they hope the theory ends up being true or partially at least.

I understand your position, but do you realize that the burden of proof is on the ones who's making the claim? And so far I haven't seen any reliable evidence. I haven't seen any official personal confirming the theory, nor have I seen the Indoc theorists citing reliable sources from Bioware. Therefore, I made the conclusion that the IT is just a speculation.

On the other hand, if not indoctrination, then what explains all the weird stuff from infinite ammo to Anderson outrunning Shepard to Shepard breathing? It is very sloppily done, either on purpose to make us guess or unintentionally they had to cut corners a lot leaving more glitches and plotholes than during the rest of game.

if the IT is true(which it probably is) BioWare would probably release a DLC where you play as shepard after you wake up in London, if you chose the correct ending that isKrunkMasterB wrote...
The problem I have with the theory is that even if it were true, it's not a good ending. So Shepard is indoctrinated, then what? We should at least see the Reapers win or something, not end the story with Shep's hallucination. And it still doesn't take into account any of our choices that have been made in the last 3 games.
