Amazon.co.uk have stopped selling me3 for any platform because of a customer complaint the game didnt function as advertised.

They Posted

"Item Under Review
This product is not currently offered by Amazon.co.uk because a customer recently told us that the item he or she received was not as described.
We are working to resolve this as quickly as possible. In the meantime, you may still find this product available from other sellers on this page."

Jokes aside, they are serious. An online shopping website won't make that kind of joke. Apart from that, Amazon has refunded a lot of ME3 copies.

That notice doesn't seem to stop you from actually putting the game into your basket and purchasing it ... so yeah, look at the calendar methinks.

Funny cuz you can still order it :)

Still dont see what was falsely advertised in that info blurb...

Some people are taking this ending madness WAY outta proportion. I swear i didn't even see people this upset over the 2000 election!

I do hope this is not some trolling of a user that is upset with endings...

Whatever that is, Amazon is the best company out there when it comes to customer relations.

You can order it, just not directly from amazon.

I highly doubt it's a joke. It would deter customers from buying it, and if the price they're selling at is anything to go by, it's already struggling to sell.

If this is the result of someone complaining over alleged 'mis-advertisement' over the endings...I think I'll lose all faith.

Probably referring to Hudson's "A,B,C" ending quote. I wouldn't call it false advertising but it was definitely misleading.

The "not available" message only comes up on the 360 version for me.

Not trolling and have no opinion on endings as im still waiting for face import bug fix before i play, could be april 1st on amazons part, but i seriously doubt it, if it is its potentially damaging future credibility and, well, just not very funny.

Why would they want to sell something that hasn't got a demand ? It would be a loss for them. Add the fact that they gave refunds for many ME3 copies.

They do this all the time when there's been reported product issues-- like for instance, I've seen it with graphic novels where they'll put it "under review" due to reports of the graphic novels falling apart (because of weak glue binding)

It's legit.

BTW, it would take more than one complaint for Amazon to put a message like that up, a lot more - it's not coming through one of the marketplace sellers.

I like the check boxes for the tags.
Customer abuse and defective by design are my favorites.

They allow you to purchase it from their market place retailers but not directly from Amazon UK. This seems to be legit. I don't think they would sacrifice money for some laughs

Butthurt people being butthurt. What some of them are doing is like going to cinema to see the latest movie, then realizing it is not as good as they hoped it be and the trailer was actually the best thing about the movie as a whole and then going on a hate-tirade against Hollywood for having ruined their movie like that.

Idiotic.

Wait ... so people don't like the ending, so they've trolled Amazon's complaints system?

... this had really better be a joke.

I think this is a good thing for the gaming industry as a whole. It sends the message that you can't get away with misrepresenting the functionality of your product. Game developers have done this, if not outright lied, about certain apsects of their games for many years now with no reprucussions from either consumers or government entities. It has to stop, and I think this is a sign that people are beginning to reject the unethical practice of advertising that if not false, is at the very best disingenuous.

What? It's a sign that people are abusing a complaints system to try and stop people from buying a game they didn't like. Nothing more.

I thought the FCA complaints and the Retake campaign and the people posting messages recruiting suicide bombers was the worst it could get. Actively lying so that retailers' systems stop selling the product? That's a new low.
