I do not understand how any of you self-righteous trolls actually thinks this is good. You actually expect Bioware/EA to give us free DLC? Good for the industry you say, I think not, these companies have no problem crapping on our user rights, I see them tightening the noose even more.

Stay frosty, good job destroying a decent video game company.

The more they tighten the noose the more customers they will lose. Having been around here for a couple of game releases what is suprising is how few "drones" there are compared to other releases.

Reposting from the other topic. God I hate cross-posting. I wish this was against the rules like other forums.

For anyone who thinks this is too much, you realize this is how you get their attention?

We can plead and plead but at the end of the day their sales being affected is going to garner the most notice.

Whether or not there is "something" being announced in April is irrelevant. This is an ongoing issue.

Agreed to a certain extent. The first week sales were great compared to ME1 and ME2 - but we don't the how much it cost to make ME3, the profit margin per unit, or the cost of damaged goodwill in terms of future sales.

I believe their next game and its respective sales will be the true arbiter of just how much this has affected them.

I for one can definitely say that if they do not deliver on the endings we were supposed to get then I will not be buying ME3 or any other game that comes out after it.

BioWare already has our money. At least, BioWare has my money. I never returned the game, but I'm going to be more cautious going forward.

Unfortunately, a company is valued based on future discounted expected earnings. Investors will consider the impact of this mess on future sales - ME3, DLC, and future BioWare games.

That's the real reason BioWare should fix the ending.

There is no saying you can't save the world AND do your dishes. Caring about a company that is obviously neglecting important parts of its business does not distract me from more important things, although your multitasking skills may suffer from such.

In regards to the forums closing and the video companys destruction (which they have inflicted upon themselves) and if BioWare decides they want to defecate on their own franchise, well, I'll always have Something Awful (the forums, not the Me3 endings - well okay those too) and The Witcher.

Make no mistake many (but not all) of those who dislike it hide behind the false pretense of love Bioware as a developer, passionate and the title of fans. They do not care (many of them) about the developer, they are not looking out for Bioware, they are simply out for themselves and what they want. A stalker is passionate about the person they stalk, a murderer is passionate about payback for being insulted, passion is not a valid phrase to hide behind. Fans is used of late to hide behind when throwing insults and attacks of staff and developers and all the people who cussed at John yesterday probably hid behind the terms "passionate fans".

Well, people who say it's false advertising are correct, considering you can get only one ending, regardless of your choices, in A,B,C ending form, which they clearly said it would not be.
This is a bit overkill, but I do see where they're coming from.

You can get multiple endings, all of which are different from each other. People saw the word "different" and assumed something in their heads about what "different" would be, and then called Bioware liars when this expectation wasn't met.

Rubbish thing for Bioware to have done? Sure, I'll get on board with that. Never, however, going to get on board with all of the garbage about "lies" or "false advertising" or "let's sue them", or for that matter trying to take Amazon's sales system offline if that's what's happened here. That's just inaccurate, and doesn't paint a good picture of the anti-ending movement. It makes them look like they've never experienced a situation where the marketing and hype hasn't lived up to the end product, which is surely the height of naivety.

2 dollar notes are technically different, yet they are considered as being the same thing for most intents and purposes, save tracking of numbers. You wouldn't know one dollar bill from another just by using them normally, thus they are considered the same, despite their technical minor differences.

The endings are the same in the same breath as above.

Claiming they are "wildly different", as Bioware led consumers to believe from their statements is going so far beyond pushing the term "bending the truth" that it's an outright lie.

Since you've put "wildly different" in quote marks, I'd like to see the source for that quote, please?

Yet the minute I post anything they disagree with the insults start flying and every man, woman and child who has been lurking in the background who disliked anything I have ever said comes out the closet with insults such as troll or putting words in my mouth to try and dismiss anything I say.

So, the moment you say something, it is automatically a bunch crazy people insulting you when you get contradictory responses. So, either we admit you are right or we are just a huge group of trolls who immediately hate you for making a comment. Sounds like you are just the most self righteous person i have ever heard of.

You are free to believe whatever you wish. But you don't get to play the 'doesn't happen card' when people have done just what I said in this very thread. People coming in first thing they say is derogatory towards me not the content of on topic reply I made even if they disagreed with me.

Now why do i feel like i have heard that before
Does happen, but if you read to far into it and see aggression then it may seem to happen more than it actually does. I suggest that you stop doing that, besides the moment you made that statement you were just asking for it.

Your stance is no diffferent to those who verbally attacked Bioware employee's. "Making a statement or comment, they asked for it", simply meaning disagreed with what they said so attack them. I suggest you don't try to peddle that perspective or stance too much in future and certainly explains your actions in response to what I have said that was on topic at the time.

I don't care about all of that, this particular issue is you not BW so leave that out. More than a disagreement comes from that statement of yours, as i said it makes you very self-righteous if you honestly believe that it happens every time JUST BECAUSE THEY DISAGREE WITH YOU. Oh, i will be using that perspective alot, you really deserve it.
All your responses have done is prove that i am correct about you. I had never been aggressive to you until I saw that crap, it makes it clear just how self absorbed you are.

ME3 is not a failed product at all, first day sales and pre orders where MORE than enough to put this game on the green numbers, anyone that says otherwise is a fool, but everyone needs to accept that this game could had done MUCH MUCH MUCH better.

You may be right - I am not sure how nice the sales of their next game will be though. Trust and all that.

The sales will be fine, the product they release next is generally judged on the qualities of that product, your trust issues aside. This has been shown time and time again with every new release and will continue to be the case.

"Shown time and time again"?
Research? Link?

Well DA2's sales never really impacted ME3's that much but now both DA and ME are toxic ,as is Biowares reputation and they are running out of IP's.

Things will sell if you stick a big enough advertising budget behind them, but that still cuts into profits if not units sold.

Nicely put.
Although I would include TOR as well, in addition to DA2 and ME3.

I make it a point not to speak about things I've never played unless it's in general terms. It seems a fairly safe bet that TOR is both underperforming and bleeding players at quite a rate.

Truth be told, if they had decided to give the game (ToR) a year more in development to fix bugs and easy spottable design-flaws it might have been good. Oh.. And if they had used some proper customer support, ofc.

I remember from reading their forums and talking with guildies that I wasn't the only one with horrific experiences with their "support".

You can't make a quality meal when shopping for ingredients based on their price instead of quality. And trying to make a non-quality MMO these days just seems like a waste of money, tbh. Too large production/running costs compared to income if you don't strike gold with the subscribers. I believe it's one of the reasons THQ abandoned their warhammer40k MMO and turned it into a regular single-player game instead.

You have resorted to aggression towards me in many threads thanks from the moment I say anything.. Glad to see you are okay with personally attacking people whether myself or the developers or members based on that stance, glad because it shows just how vicious a person you are and how much disregard you have for the people who make the games and the people who discuss them. No, cause I can't be arsed to google for interviews done between ME2 and ME3's release (you're free to look it up yourself instead, though, if you are that bored).

It was part of an interview where they discussed that they felt ME2 was hard to write because they had to end at basicly the same point, regardless of the choice-paths in ME2, so as to be able to continue the story in ME3 in a decent way. After that, they added that they wouldn't have the same problem in ME3, since it was to be the final chapter in Shepards story, so they would be free to make wildly divergent story branches.

I think we can all agree that this didn't happen, despite their claim.
