Who ACTUALLY listens to Yahtzee's reviews for any reason other than to laugh at him insulting a game?

I mean really, if you actually took his "reviews" as real reviews, you would come to the conclusion that all games are absolute **** except for Portal and random indie/downloadable games.

Yeah he can definitely be funny, I watch him for that reason, but in all honesty he is just a cynical videogame hipster whose analysis should be taken in conjunction with an entire salt mine...if not just in general ignored, as he doesn't ever actually defend any of his positions (he can in his articles but that's not what most people see, and he usually focuses on just one aspect in those). 

tl;dr - Yahtzee =/= real reviewer/analyst

It's sad he's gotten so stale that I actually miss the misogyny act.

At the same time though I can remember him whining often about Gears and the likes at the testosterone fueled meathead protagonists of the modern FPS. 

Again though, I think it just goes to show that if you actually took all his standards/recommendations and compiled them together you wouldn't actually get ANY game; just a steaming pile of whatever complaints he thought would make him sound smartest and "above" us petty mortals who...gods forbid...ENJOY GAMES. 

Edit: not to mention his self-proclaimed categorical hatred of RTS's, RPG's, every modern shooter...wait, why does he review games again?

He said in his review that even though he didn't do the side quests he noted that there aren't any differences in the endings and were rather weak.

But keep in mind that this is also Yahtzee we're talking about who does and says things for a laugh. He also says, and it shows, that he's a cynic who doesn't like fanboys and will do/say whatever he wants in order to make fun of them. So yeah, no need to get upset or take it personally.

The quote was from his extra punctuation sidebar in which he's more in-depth and less (or not at all) satirical about his zero punctuation review.

He's a writer, so that makes him protective of his own creative work.
Furthermore he admitted in his sidebar on ME3 that...
"I have heard it said that
the disappointment factor of the ending increases the more into the
series you were, and it's true that I'm not crazy about it."

If you're not into the game, let alone the trilogy as a whole, then yeah you'll chalk up the RGB ending of ME3 as "could be worse!"
