34% is not a majority. The rest think she would do it, they just react in different ways.

I think the idea there was that she would try to save a piece of Shepard, in the event that Shepard wasn't going to survive.

The 30% voting "giggity" can not be counted on grounds of stupidity. Relative, it is indeed a majority.

At any rate, this cant be the case. Otherwise she would have told Shep if she's in love with him. Shep would have been happy about it.

Liara has the hots for Shepard regardless of what s/he does, so not necessarily.

OR

As there are only a few
thousand people alive, they come to conclusion that they need to stick
together. All the races mating each other, which eventually leads into a
Master Race.
-Lifespan and attractiveness of Asari
-Smartness of Salarian
-Toughness of Krogan
-Determination of Humans
-Regeneration of Vorchas
-Agility of Drell
-Tentacles of Hanar
-Calmness of Elcor
-Eyes of Batarians
-Consensus of Geth
-Honor of Turians
-Adaptiveness of Quarians

Master race then proceeds to take over the galaxy from the few pure races around galaxy.

I love how you mentioned tentacles as an advantage. It is rare to see a positive attitude to tentacles, outside of japanese entertainment.

Blasto disagrees. Also, what else could it be? Jelly form? The caring of other species who can be turned into willing slaves/assassins? Pink color?

Something to do with bioluminescence? Everyone could use a bit more bioluminescence, I'm sure.

What can I say? Blue is an attractive color.

"Giggity" is the option for those who approve of her doing it (plus a bad attempt at humor on my part). In the discussion thread linked from the poll, there are Liaramancers who like the idea of her doing this, even if Shepard never showed any interest in her and romanced someone else.

Personally, I think it would be an unforgivable violation, but given her moral character and persistent obsession with Shepard (whether the affections are returned or not), I just could not put it past her to do something like that without Shepard's knowledge or consent.

My thoughts on the Asari:

Say what you will about the Asari but they are a peaceful people who have always prioritized culture and trade over empire. That's admirable. And you don't get to be the economic superpower of the galaxy being "lazy". It's just a question of priorities.

Sure they could devote all their wealth and resources to becoming the main military superpower.... but that's goes completely against the will of their peoples [Asari being the most democratic [organic] race, of course] and everything Asari civilization stands for. They spend their wealth on/[for the benefit of] their own people not on empire.

They have never demonstrated open agression or a will to dominate the other species... what would any other species have done with their wealth/resources.... gone the Prothean route no doubt. It begs the question what on Earth are you afriad of?

The Turians are the complete reverse of the Asari and serve as a useful counterpoint: the Turians have nothing but a crappy command-based public service sector economy like the soviet union and unless you're going to put it into action like the Protheans they have absolutely nothing to show for it. What cultural marvels do the Turians have? What is there of any particular value for the military to save? Palaven isn't worth saving. It wasn't even worth visiting.

Thessia the Asari homeworld may have a smaller population than Earth but that's only because the Asari population is spread out much further than ours and to a much greater extent as a byproduct of beging a more developed space-fairing species for thousands of years. As a result of having access to more resources across multiple planets and systems for centuries I would assume Humanity's population being completely Earth-centric would be much smaller by comparison.

As for other races perceiving their characteristics in the Asari, well that's only natural... nothing sinister. Asari have been putting up with this nonsense for years. Asari mind-bonding, etc. is as personal as a Hanar soul-name. It's not something they do lightly. When Joker questionned Liara about Asari "Hair" her discription was exactly as we see it in game which put all doubt in my mind at ease.

As for Ardat-Yakshi... it's embarrassing... like a byproduct of in-breeding. I'ts kinda like lesbianism... I can understand why they normally don't want to mate with each-other.

If you're not alone, you are in a small camp.

Most people find them far from creepy.

Hey I think liking Quarian is sick... pun totally intended.

You know what I'd like to see? I'd like to see a single Asari placed in a room with a member of every other spicies and have them each draw what she looks like to them.
Me thinks they would get very diffrent results.

The asari do not look different because of some magical, mind-controlling space chemicals. I don't know why this theory persists.

I have never found them creepy, but I would still prefer Ashley to any blue chick with tentacles on her head.

It's alluded to in the codex iirc as a wide-ly held misconception/rumor about them but there's nothing to it imo.

Personally I've always had Ash as my male LI and Liara as my femshep LI until now but after ME3 I felt Ash's dialogue was so meh and wanting in ME3 that I no longer care particularly for the character. Liara was much more developed as a character in ME3 imo and therefore much more interesting as a love interest.

I am disturbed by the sight of Eclipse Vanguards when they don't close their eyes upon death. Almost makes me wish I didn't kill them.

@kalle90
What say you? Impurify human dominance with such synnergy?
Humans must stand for humanity as a trait, defend it against alien influences. It is the only way to not be swept away by the tide of alien agendas.

I don't remember anything like that being in the codex. What I do remember is that the idea comes from a group of drunken colleagues at a bachelor's party.

The one that Samara kills (during her recruitment mission) blinks after death.

Additionally, Asari on videos and Asari-VIs (Avina) do not look different, so that line from ME2 is about pheromones fitting for every species, nothing else.

Those are probably Asaris pretending to be tvs and vis. Just like how all the signs on omega are in english- all hardworking asaris.

Other than the mild **** shaming, I do agree that they are quite creepy.

And that is why I never romance Liara.

Diplomacy is great when it works, but difficult when everyone already perceives you as a threat.

I find the human women (namely Ashley) and even Urdnot Bakara better people and stronger characters then any Asari in the ME series (really the only 2 I can stand are Aethyta and Samara).

Yes I am saying I would rather sleep with a Krogan female then an Asari, at least Krogan don't get to go into my head.

Eve is great. I always have to remind myself that a perfect playthrough is a silly idea (One Shepard has Wrex but no Eve, other has Eve but no Wrex... there are no perfect endings).
I find that Ashley makes anthropomocentrists such as yours truly (me) look too stupid.
Liara doesn't really register as an asari. Not nearly as proud and much more dynamic.

with the new textures being "scaly" looking. One of my thoughts was...."THAT looks like it would chaff my willie". Would you really want a partner that could read your thoughts when you "bond"? Having no ears bothered me in ME3...It didn't in ME1 or 2 for some reason...or maybe I just couldn't get past the "squid hair". I have some questions about the "hair"....
How do they clean under it/in between it?
can it get "messed up"?
when they wake up, is the tentacles/hair going in all directions?

the one thing I am intrigued about is finding out what "embracing eternity" would feel like with Liara...
