So while assaulting the Cerberus research base (N7 mission) i put Liara and James in defensive positions behind cover to keep one entrance to the room covered while i covered the other.

I spent half a minute killing some Cerbies coming in from the side when i notice Liara goes down. I turn around to look and i see her knocked out on the other side of the room surrounded by 4-5 Cerbies!!! What in the nine freaking hells happened here?(*)

Not only that, but i look at James and realise he's not shooting anything with his assault rifle. So i figure maybe he's a bit buggy and switch to his shotgun, only then did he start shooting at stuff.

(*) Those that play MP might recognise the place i was at, the Cerberus research base in the room where the shuttle drops you off and where you evac after 10 waves. We were setup on the elevated position overlooking the evac area, with James and Liara ordered to move behind the glass cover....Liara somehow moved down to where the ammo boxes are and got killed there. Seriously, how the heck did she get there?
