I cant post in ME3 forums since i dont own ME3 yet, but i will buy it this week.

I already have ME 1 and ME 2, i bought them the previous week and im currently through the ME1 storyline, ill only go to ME2 once ive finished ME1 story mode so that i can import my character from game to game and so that my choices from the previous games reflect the following games, ive heard that the computer assumes the worst choices from the previous series if u havent played them yet.

So, back to the point, im getting Mass Effect 3 this week and im wondering, hows the multiplayer like?

Is there PvP between players? It would be interesting if you could be a Reaper facing Human players in battle.
Or maybe you could have like, the view of the galaxy and who owns what, and you could fund troops and invade planets either as a Reaper or an Alliance commander.

And you could first be a soldier where other Reaper or Alliance commanders deploy you and you could earn up ranks and become more powerful and invade your own planets one day

Oh man this will all be so amazing

What kind of game modes are there?

Please enlighten me, im really looking forward to it

Sadly its not exactly like that but its still fun. It's more akin to PvE Co-Op. Four guys go down and tackle 11 hordes of enemies with every 3 waves giving an objective to complete in order to finish the wave. Last mission is an extraction endurance mode. It's only one mode but it's way better then it sounds. Seriously the difficulty makes you work for it. And if you have it for the XBox or PC every weekend they have special objectives outlined in the forums for the community to meet.

Operation Fortress had them having to kill one million Brutes and Operation Raptor this week had them needing to promote 100,000 characters. With rewards for meeting a personal quota and the main objective for the Operations. So it's pretty cool on that note. Theres also special packs that you can buy on occasion in order to get much needed items and so forth and theres about six maps three enemy types and three difficulty levels.

Ultimately each of your victories and defeats net's you XP, credits and galactic readiness which helps you in the single player mode when calculating your Effective Military Strength.

The downside is that if yer on the PS3, for now you cannot take part in the Operations. Secondly the packs you buy with in game money or real money, are completely random so it may take you some time to get what you hope for, so you need some patience. And like I said there is only one mode for the multiplayer. So if you don't like it then that could be a real problem. 

Hopefully the pros outweigh the cons and maybe I'll see you there. Good hunting and enjoy the game.
