It was a dark and stormy night. ProTag the Barbarian stired from a restless sleep.

pheww this writing is hard anyone want to continue the story for me. Thanks!

He woke up in a cell. What is inside a tavern.

Everyone was partying hard, he looked over at the other cages saw people dancing inside them. Suddenly he feels a sharp pain in his rear

The hero got picked up in the talons of flemeth the magical dragon right in the nick of time to save the hero from taking a darkspawn arrow to the knee and was dropped off somewhere else

ProTag was not amused traveling a long distance by dragon.  Where in Thedas am I anyway he said.  He asked a man who was passing by but all he got was a glare what do you mean you Barbarian you're in...

Zebo the dwarf was a young nug wrangling apprentice, but he really wanted to sell be the best meat pie salesman in Orzammar. He ends up taking out a loan to start his meat pie business, working a night job but ends up in debt, turning into a Lyrium mule for the surface. This gets him in trouble with the carta and one day his peg-legged old mum wakes up with a bronto head in her bed. Zebo meets Zevran, who performs a sex change opperation on him and he/she ends up dancing the can-can in seedy Denerim nightclubs for clients with wierd dwarf fetishes. Here, Zebo uses his/her experience as a Lyrium mule to smuggle the finest and eventually buys a pair of magic stilts. Zebo uses the stilts to sell meat pies to the tall folk and lives happily ever after.

Dragon Age 3.

*writes a game that isn't profoundly boring and mediocre, has Morrigan in it and makes her a vital part of the plot, and does something to actually advance the storyline and expand upon the lore*

*also doesn't completely change the visuals and art style so the game doesn't look like ass and is at least somewhat consistent with DA:O*

The end.

More Morrigan.

More politics, like DAII act 2 or being in Denerim for DA:O. That was very cool.

Less jumping around and backflips (I'm a rogue).

Less DAII art style, more DA:O.

More DA:O freedom in endings, more DAII in the...variance of depravity of people (stuff like necromancers, for instance)

Less VA for main character. Like, none.

Less magic (not standard magic, talking about stuff like the lyrium idol)

That's all I can think of at the moment.

I would likely pre-order/purchase a game like this.

Assuming I even want to see DA3 released, but sure I'll have a go at this...Everything suggested is to try and repair the damage done by DA2:

-Main protagonist is 'The Seeker', who is you guessed it, a seeker of the chantry (new recruit or whatever floats your boat.)
-Can be the standard warrior, rogue, mage (mages can be circle loyalists)
-Would be a human protagonist, but with different background stories like origins (apostate, circle mage, bandit etc etc.)
-Main storyline would be dealing with templar/mage conflict by settling conflicts around Thedas and bringing support to the seekers/faction of your choosing.
-Would involve stories like Orlais/Ferelden conflict, Qunari conflict, Elven/Dwarven conflict maybe?
-More dialogue like Origins, with the bigger arguments and debates styled like the landsmeet encounter, none of this dialogue wheel crap.
-Combat would be like Origins again, just more 'active', it can still be active and strategic, but the DA2 combat needs to be purged and buried, even final fantasy would be embarrassed by that.
-All I've got for companions up to now are the two warriors; Cassandra, a two-handed warrior and the firm believer in the chantry and the seekers. And Cullen, sword and shield warrior who abandoned the Templars after the incident with Meredith but still questions both the mages and now the chantry, can be influenced to support one side or neither by the protagonist similar to hardening alistair/leliana.

That's all I've got up to now.
Edit- Here some more ideas:
-Morrigan will return as will the OGB if it exists in your save, who will both be a major influence in the war.
-During the story the Seeker will find closure on both the Warden and Hawke.
-Flemeth can be a major antagonist, seeing how Morrigan set her up to be one in Witch Hunt and DA2 did f*ck all with her storyline.
-The darkspawn will also return and play a role, back in the dirty, diseased glorious look from DA:O and not that horrific retarded look from DA2. The Architect (if he lived) and the Disciples will also make a return.
-The Grey Wardens will also play a role.
-Past decisions actually matter in this game.
-Art style back to the DA:O dark/epic fantasy, you know with actual thought and quality put into it instead of the stack of brown minecraft blocks that was Kirkwall.
-No retarded characters like Merrill, Fenris and sarcastic Hawke. You can have humour but stick it to a dark setting.

I want it to be a powerful political epic.

The game will pick up on three major plotlines concerning

1) The Tempar-Mage War with a major conflict within The Chantry. (Face it. It's an interesting concept that was mishandled by DA2)

2) The rise of elves (It's time to break the dark fantasy mold and have the elves beginning to openly oppose humans etc)

3) The potential conflict between Orlais, Tevinter Imperium, and Fereldan. (Imagine the political intrigue)

Setting aside the question of recycled environments, can you elaborate on what you liked more about the DA:O art style?

I can't speak for Eternal, but for me at least it's more a matter of consistency (something DA2 as a whole sorely lacked) than anything else - completely changing the art style of DA:O for the sequel was extremely jarring and unnecessary IMHO, and puts a damper on the overall experience from one game to the other.

On a slightly more subjective note, I just think the art style in general is pretentious, overstylized garbage - particularly the elves and darkspawn, who just look downright awful. Seriously, if I saw a horde of hurlocks running towards me, I'd think the circus was coming to town - darkspawn should look like gruesome monsters, not circus clowns.

(Their running animation is also quite comical, like the "Putty Patrol" from Power Rangers as someone pointed out once)

Questionable and unnecessary art style changes aside, the game itself was about as boring a game as I've ever played. Still haven't worked up the motivation to finish playing it - lost interest less than halfway (perhaps not even a quarter) through, then just read stuff on BSN and the DA Wiki to spoil the rest - which was far more intriguing than the game itself, I might add.

I can honestly say that in light of everything I just talked about, I have no real expectations for DA3 to be any good at all - but I do expect to hear about how "good" it is during the inevitable marketing blitz that will occur leading up to and upon its release. Bring on the "awesome" buttons - and don't be surpised when I don't press a single one of them.

re: the art styles:

DAO's dungeons looked grimy and ancient. (like the werewolf ruins, for example).

in DA2 all the dungeons looked too clean and polished for my taste.

If you could, how would you write DA3?

I don't have to. I'm writing my DAO expansion for 2 years already ( due to lack of skill to use toolset, time constraint and lack of resources )

i think DA3 should involve a lot of travelling and fighting.
And since flemeth isn't really... well i don't know what she is or isn't! But have people considered if she could possible be the next archdemon for the blight in the anderfels???? although she doesn't cross me as a fool but she really seemed to hat the darkspawn in DAO.
And the old god toddler and her should have a fight scene... that would be awesome!
All of your companions should return! including downloadable ones and tallis.
there should be a massive battle at the end (I'm not talking ostagar big) i'm talking damn MASSIVE!
like DAO you should have to collect resources and armies to oppose the darkspawn or invading armies.
and the battle should be your descision: whether you want to fight a army of millions alone or trot into battle on sick halla with nives and forks while morrigan, wynn, bethany and anders conjure evil bunnies to eat the enemies eyes!
or more likely....: the enemy will be waiting for you and your army in the Massive valley. you should choose to fly in on griffins or dragons... and there should be legendary weapons made for you, hawke and the warden (i hope the warden and hawke can join your party)

Action, Romance, Desire. One Man/Woman on an epic quest to fulfill a prophecy ages old. In the darkest of nights, our hero searches for answers to why hawke was the protagonist in the sequel, why countless thugs jump off of rooftops, and where can he find the illusive "Knob of Awe".

Will EA make more pre-order weaponry? Will we get back Isometric views again? Will the story finally make sense and/or be genuinely entertaining this time? FIND OUT... in

Dragon Age III

I apologize. I often drop into a thread and stay for a couple hours, but never return if no one's responded to me by then.

I don't like the almost comical (comical as in comics, not funny) style of DAII. The people all have this bizarre fake...sheen to them, and props do too. DA:O felt far more realistic.

Also the elves, darkspawn, and qunari. They all look retarded, I feel (that's subjective) and worse than DA:O.

I'd have to work really f*cking hard to make it as interesting as The Witcher or Skyrim. But I'd start with forgetting DA2 ever existed, and forget about the stupid blight. I'd bring back the wonderfully written cast of characters from DA:O. Bioware doesn't need to switch out a new set of teammates with each new game. They could actually try expanding on the characters they've already created..*GASP* a crazy idea, I know.

I'd simply have the setting be a conflict of interests for your allies and powerful rulers, with magic and monsters at the side lines. How hard can it be? When will Bioware drop their formula of the chosen one and the almighty, all pervasive evil? I can't take that sh*t seriously anymore.
