...Morrigan? Why do you look like a big lipped baby doll with low res boobs?

Anyway, if I wrote Dragon Age 3, the PC would start off in Tevinter and head to Orlais.

Definitely bring Morrigan back and not just for some lame and pointless cameo but for a huge part to play in the game. Such great potential being wasted.

Finally a post like this!!

If i wrote dragon age 3 ill definitely use the OGB as the PC because i think he/she will be the REAL most important person of thedas, i would bring back the origin stories but in a different way, for example if in your imported a sav. you tell Alistair to do the ritual, that willl be your specific origin story as Alistair son/daughter, maybe morrigan dont want to rise the OGB because he/she is not a mage so she sends the child to Alistair so he can raise him/her and teach the child how to fight, this one would be cool because you could start as the prince/princess of ferelden if Alistair was made king, or maybe he is not king but he still will rise you as his child and teach you how to fight.

Or maybe you told Loghain to do the ritual and morrigan sends the child to him, last time we heard of Loghain he was in orlais so you will grow up in that nation and become and orlesian.

Or maybe the Warden is your father but nobody knows where he/she is so Morrigan sends you to some sort of Orphanage in Antiva so you grow up there and you learn about the corrupted world by your own. (this would be the standard story for warriors and rogues with no imported sav.)

Or maybe if we create our OGB as a mage, Morrigan leaves the eluvian and goes to live in tevinter because there are not circles there and she rises you teaches you the arts of magic, so you can be prepared for your future, but as you grow up you realize that you mother is hiding something form you and you have to know no matter what, maybe persuading her or maybe in more evil ways. this would be the story for the mage OGB, it doesnt matter who you father is, but for a warrior or a rogue OGB we would have to play one of the origins i said above.

Also the OGB will have a special power that no ones ever had and you would be the first and only person to ever have the power of the old gods, doesn't matter if you're a mage a warrior or a rogue, you still will have that power to change the world around you, maybe you will help the mages and start a new era, maybe you will help the templars restore the order and rebuild the chantry or maybe.... you will use your Old God power to harness the power of the darkspawn, control them to crush you enemies and conquer the whole world.

Well I would bring back Origins. Make protagonist an elf, or dwarf, or human, (or qunari I support this idea). Hire more protagonist voiceactors, so we have a choice in that matter. It is possible to have a voices like this:
One for male human/male elf, One for female human/female elf, One for female human/female dwarf and One for male human/male dwarf. That makes four voice actors, two male, two female and I believe that is as well possible in the $ as well as in the matter of choice.
Move action to more interesting region much north or even to Seheron, Par Vollen. Anderfells is also a good direction. Make a lot of changes in the story to improve the setting and narrative.
I also believe we need new way of storytelling like more acts, more branching paths of the narrative like excluding quest that alter the paths of the story.

When it comes to ideas for the story. Making peace in Thedas is OK, then is an open war going on so we need to set this straight. This also makes a perfect comeo of Srigins: like you start in different settings fighting different enemies (mages, templars stc.) And for now this are my points. :)

 Part 1: The Return

In Dragon Age Orgins, and the expansion they try to wrap up Warden's storyline. I would have the person PC, you walked into the mirror with Morrgian return or at least the essence or spirt or something transformed into the body whoever you are playing now. (People know they could do it)

You return to find the Blood Mages, and Nemcro all uniting against and fighting back. A full scale war that doesn't bring the blight instead causes the people cast out "Blood Mages/Nermocs" to Unite under Flemmah's rule.

You go through the series as the you see the damage it has caused, a chance to resuce people. See some old face's from Orgins, and then you learn you must unite an army to fight against Flemmah's.

2. The Child

Act 2 would larely focus around the child. Morrgian of course would appear, but she would be in your alliance his time. Maybe the child's power grown too strong for him or maybe Fleammath Kidnapped him. In full detail you would learn exactly what has been going on.

This is more circled around Part 1 story lines and the impact's it had on people. As well as getting close to Royal Lords and what not to gain their support for their army to march against Flemmth. You would have to solve their problems similar to how orgins was made.

Chosen

3. This would be the height where you actually fight against Fleammth and the child who chooses you or to destroy her. Morrgian would also show up for this battle. The ending would start off with a bang as you resuced the child from somewhere.

Once uniting all the armys and fighting, also side personal mission storys and what not. Then it would slowly build up to fighting the blood mages to fight fleemath herself.

(I will go into more detail later. You can simply put an idea "The child" and build around it the plot. Who is he/she, where do they get their power. You could add on and create some interesting comedy. I know they won't admit it but DA2 flopped with fans verus Orgins)

I see a lot of people calling for the origins to return but am I the only one who wasnt a big fan of the origin system? Sure the origins were the stand out feature of the first game but personally I feel that unless the character's background is vital to the plot it should be left as vague as possible, where your character starts is not as important as where he ends up, the game itself should tell the story that defines your character instead of having your character defined by some backstory that happens before the game even begins.

But in saying that it was the origins that were the defining feature of the first game and were the thing that actually made the first game worthwhile so perhaps it should have been the defining feature of the whole series?

ONE DAY THERE WAS A DWARF (OF A SELECTABLE GENDER AND CASTE).

DUE TO POOR LIFE DECISIONS, THIS DWARF WOUND UP IN THE LEGION OF THE DEAD.

AFTER SOME AWESOME DUNGEON CRAWLING FEATURING INTERESTING CHOICES SETTING UP SIMILARLY INTERESTING CONSEQUENCES LATER IN THE GAME, THE LEGION OF THE DEAD FOUND A MACGUFFIN THAT FOR SOME REASON WAS HIGHLY RELEVANT TO ORZAMMAR POLITICS.

OUR HERO WAS PIVOTAL IN THIS DISCOVERY, AND FOUND HIM/HERSELF IN A POSITION OF MODERATE RESPONSIBILITY WITHIN THE LEGION.

OUR HERO FINDS HIM/HERSELF SURPRISINGLY CENTRAL IN THIS POLITICAL SITUATION FOR REASONS THAT ARE 100% EXPLAINED AND 0% HANDWAVED.

POLITICAL MANEUVERING, TRICKERY, AND BACKSTABBING ENSUES. DEPENDING ON OUTCOMES OF ALL THIS, SOCIAL UPHEAVAL MAY OR MAY NOT BE THE ORDER OF THE DAY.

ROMANCE MAY ENSUE. IF IT DOES, IT IS AN HONEST ATTEMPT TO PORTRAY A REALISTIC RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN STRONG, MATURE EQUALS, AND NOT AN ATTEMPT TO GIVE NECKBEARDS SOME SORT OF DELICATE VULNERABLE WAIFU.

ENDING IS CONTINGENT ON OUTCOME OF POLITICAL MACHINATIONS, NOT ON SOME PLOT DEVICE (NOTE: MACGUFFINS ARE IMPORTANT BECAUSE PEOPLE WANT THEM, NOT BECAUSE THEY DO THINGS.)

I have always thought Orgins far superior then DA2 even with the graphics upgrade and new combat system. Why? It's about the story. If you make a block buster of a game. You maybe try to polish or tweak it. You do not loose sight entirely of what made it a success.

DA:Orgins had far better review's then DA2. For that reason they were able to string along DLC for nearly a year. Fans in the sequel expected more of the same. The only notice we were given was a card in our expansion pack about a new game coming out.

I just fail to grasp the understanding. If Morrgian is very popular, place her in the sequal. Do not place a lesser known less favorite. You want money, we want to buy great product's somewhere in the sequal while trying to improve on the game so much they lost money to do in depth story line's.

But I'll be back to detail what I would had in Dragon Age 3 game. I strongly believe I can make a convincing series people will want to play.

If I could write the story for DA3...
The story will be set in Orlais (as said by the developers). Depending on your race choice, the first mission would be an intro to the struggle of the broken circles, the unleashed templars and the fading chantry. The human, for example can be a son/daughter of an orlesian noble, the elf can be a servant/best friend to the noble, the dwarf - a band leader, part of the merchants guild, working for the noble, returning home after being sent to eighter the templars(warrior choice), the bards of Orlais(rouge choice) or the circle (mage choice).
The story branches depending on the choices along the way home, and the reunion can eighter be harsh, loving or neutral, in respect.
Then the main character gets involved in the politics, as the nation is in civil war. The struggle for power over Orlais threatens the nation as the Tevinter Imperium presses from the north. The main character takes control of the family, because of the sudden and unexpected death of the orlesian noble, eigher by right(as a child of the noble), or by documents (the nobles last will). The quest is for the good of the nation, for the end of the mage/templar strike and for personal vendetta. Investigations are made as all the nobles are at war with each other. False alliances are made, betrayal is as common as breathing and death ravages the heights of the nobility.
Every noble proves a challenge. Every fact turns wrong. Nothing is certain and the hero has to make the right choices... or suffer the consequences. For this act of nobility the hero is appointed as the champion of empress Celene. As the riddle is slowly being figured out the first part of the story ends.
The second involves the end to the mage/templar war, at least in Orlais. This cannot be achieved easily, but it is essential to the end of the civil war. To complete this means that Orlais is again strong, and for a time - safe.
The last part involves a secret calling by the empress and the divine. In a stormy night a month after the civil war, the hero arrives at the meeting to find a new mission - Orlais is not as strong as it was and now the tivinter magisters are invading from the north. The hero has to unite the land, create an army, call on friends and lead the last battle for Orlais - will it crumble or will it rise to be greater than it ever was? Ferelden, the Anderfels, the Free cities - any who can help are welcome. But who to trust in this grave matter? The last battle is unpredictable and may be the last for many. Only time will tell...
If I could write the story for DA3, I want to add the epic feeling of DA:O. Struggles for power, noble acts, street fights. New companions and encounters with old friends. Fights, from a drunken brawl in a tavern to the battle of the "many nations". I hope that the new Dragon Age game will be remembered as a classic and be thought of like DA:O.
Peace and sorry if it was a bit longer than expected. Posted Image Posted Image

A war is brewing...Who will be the savior of all Thedas? Flemeth is plotting...Morrigan is plotting...If Morrigan had a child with the Male Warden (Whichever one of the human men slept with her during the ritual) He is plotting. And others are plotting as well.

At the end of DA2 Hawke disappeared and the Warden disappearing was mentioned at the end. So you have this: Hawke had a child and the warden had a child. (One has a son. The other a daughter. Doesn't matter which one had what.) These meet and have a child of their own. You play this child (making you the grandchild of the Hawke and the Warden). Which means you can be a male or female character: Human; Elf or Dwarf.

You throw some deep characters and lots of places to visit like DAO and you got it made.
