A thread about this was on the first page a couple of days ago....but it seems the view has changed in some of the threads I've seen lately.

I'm not giving my opinion on the ending.....I'm not saying whether or not anyone should or shouldn't pay for a DLC ending.  This is purely for factual reference for later on and my curiosity.

Do you plan on paying for new "Good" DLC ending?

Any amount is a "yes".  "No" means no.

Theres is no middle ground.

pay for something that has clearly been cut out of the game in a cynical money making move? no.

No. I don't buy DLCs any more anyway even less so ones that just fix the game.

I will be patient and wait for reviews. If it is indeed worth it and depending on the price, I might consider purchasing it. If not, no deal.

For all intends and purposes though, such kind of DLC, altering or adding on an important, main-story related portion of the game, should be free.

Pay for something extra. Yes.

And I know it should have been in the game. I know promises were broken, but at the end of the day, I still feel that at this point we should pay if we want a NEW ending.

Clarification should be free though . . . .

Depends.

If the DLC involces other ingame content like more missions, gear and that sort of things I might depending on how I think it is.

If it's only for some five minutes cutscenes, no. Not a single cent.

No, I think paying for "let's just fix it later" DLC sends a bad message. I don't want to be part of the community that tells the industry "We don't care that what was in the game is bad, we're willing to pay you to give us something better." Or if the IT crowd get's their wish: "It's totally ok that you guys shipped this game with half an ending, I'm cool with buying the real ending."

It's just crossing the line of whats acceptable as DLC for me personally. Besides, there isn't any way to really salvage the ending other than a full retcon in my opinion. I don't want to pay for a retcon, and I'm not particularly interested in learning more about what we were given.

I'm all IT and will pay for a continuation if it is good, BUT: I have not yet bought and played the base game (on the very grounds of disliking extortionate DLC policies, which were apparent right from the start) and will not do it until the price has dropped considerably, evening out the sum total.

It's a toothless half-protest and probably still sends a bad "go-ahead-and-exploit-us" message, albeit an ever so slightly different one, but...

Depends on how extensive the changes are. If it's just "clarification", with all the main, defective elements of the current ending kept intact, then no, I would not pay for that.

If it is a more extensive re-write, eliminating the "space magic" and lazy deus ex machina "solution" based on defective logic that is proven false by the very gaming experience before the end, then yes, I do think I'd be willing to pay for that.

I'll borrow it from a friend again, like I did with the whole game...

Bioware doesn't deserve my money anymore. I probably won't play their next game, let alone buy it.

This. The only way to fix ME3's brokenness is to remove the Starchild altogether. Even better would be to remove the Crucible, because the concept is quite ridiculous. This, of course, would break the game.

Regardless, I'm not interested either way. What is done is done. Hopefully BioWare takes it as a lesson that when you write a trilogy, you should actually plan ahead. Failing that, at least keep each instalment consistent.

Yeah this had a very very stark contrast with ME1 and ME2 in tone.
