Seriously, the first page alone. I wish I were negotiating a profit split in a board meeting with those dues.

Me: "How's 100/0 sound?"

Them: "Take my money!" :)

Me: "Ever hear of the term negotiation? Ah, nevermind. I'll take it all. Pleasure doing business. Give me more or your surplus next time."

Them: "My wallet is open, you can have double! How about you take it now?" :)

THEM: "Sorry abou that....Bill had some nachos and was in the bathroom for a while.  The office started to stink and we just wanted to get outta.....you know it's just easier to tell you we didn't care."
FANS: "I'm fed up with this......so I'm going to give you more money to practice with."

I don't see it as a "new" ending, I see it as finishing the ending that they started. And yes, I must admit I would buy it.

However, I would then proceed to every forum and call EA & Bioware lots of bad names for being so damn greedy even in the face of all the negative feedback. I also would not buy any other DLC for the game. On the other hand, if they do the right thing and provide the completion of the ending for free, I would consider buying future DLC offerings then.

no, because the more i think about it the more flaws i find on the game, they should have waited at least 1 year before releasing the game.

nothing till someone tells me it`s alright or good or just better than the one we got already.
But if it`s actualy playable i would pay any amount, i would even be compelled to buy a whole "adon".

On one hand I buy bioware dlc, but on the other hand, why pay for something that should have been in in the first place?

Red: If they fix this and give Shep new life with his LI(and children)lol, then yes!
Blue: If they don't fix this and just say everything went back to the middle ages and Shep's effort still in vain, then no!
Green: If they add closure and explain the whole thing in a perfect way, then I'll get a piratic one!
Bioware, you have to choose!Image IPB
But, no matter which one you pick, this will be the last time I buy your game!

Yes

i will pay the standard 800 points for an ending that is happy, removes all plot holes and does not treat the ME series like garbage.

Yes, this gives them more money

But it also proves that they were wrong

Now if all they do is "clarify" the already existing ending, or try to explain it then they can keep all DLCs and the entire ME3 series

It only works if the ending is TOTALLY different

I'm trying to understand how you can "clarify" Spacegod Baby, colourful magicks, and desertion.

If I *PAID* for an ending DLC, 2 things.

1: It had better be an actual complete end-re-write. Dump the silly child, give us an ending that's more than the same 3 minute cinematic with a color filter and about 4 seconds of swapped footage, something that isn't introducing dozens of gaping plotholes at the last minute, etc.

2: It'd be the last thing I actually purchase from Bioware. If they're going to make people pay for an ending that actually feels like it belongs in the Mass Effect universe, they may get their money for it, but it'll be the last thing many buy from Bioware, be it DLC, full games, etc.

I would. Honestly I really don't care if they make us pay for a new ending. Mass Effect is more important to me then 10 measly bucks.

I would pay for ending dlc if:

a) It was not already planned and they only make it because the fans asked for it.

B) It actually involves new dialogue/gameplay (suggesting they actually had to do a fair amount of extra work; the voice actors/animators/programmers deserve to get paid) rather than some text screens or a few lines clarifying the catalyst child.

c) It is better than what we have now.

If these are all true, then I would totally pay for it. I love the ME series, and I would definitely be willing to pay to get the ending that the series deserves. I'm waiting to hear more about what they are actually going to release before making any decisions.

Reading this thread is like watching a case study on abused spouses who keep coming back, even after their partners broke three rips and an arm.

"They still love me. They didn't mean it."

Sickening, really.

i would pay 5 dollars if it means that i can get a proper ending, hey i had to pay 180 just to get to that point of the game. and not only that but i have also invested hundredths of hours playing the mass effect series so don't let us down bioware.

Awful example. We can't openly negotiate the terms of a DLC. They either make it or they don't.

The actual situation at this point is more like this:

Me: Should I make this for you? It's going to cost us money to make, so if you pay for it...

Them: No. It should be free.

Me: Well, I mean, I may make it, but that's a lot of extra time and resources that we have to--

Them: I SAID IT SHOULD BE FREE.

Me: You know making this is going to cost me a lot and not everyone will even bother purchasing it right? Do you have any idea how game production works?

Them: FREEEEEE.

Me: Fine. **** you. Enjoy your current ending.

I'm not spending anymore of my money with EA, Bioware, Sony, or Microsoft until this is fixed, as any one of these companies could have spotted that there were issues!

I'd pay for it provided it solves my issues with the ending.

I don't want this 'ending sold seperately' business to become a habit, but at the same time I feel that BioWare has made a mistake, if they are genuine about fixing that mistake then I will reward them with my money.

Naw, I'd say yours is the awful example, seeing as how it tries to portray Bioware as a victim of some sort. Your analogy is basically akin to someone smashing your car, then acting dismayed at the idea that they'd be expected to fix your car without YOU paying for it. In other words; why should people have to pay for them to fix their own mistakes? Sure, they don't have to fix their own mistakes. Just like nobody has to buy their games due to them screwing their consumers over time after time after time after time after time after time after time.

And yet here we are, people happily setting fire to their money for the sake of Bioware's greed. Sure, I can see how asking someone to own up to a mistake, act with a little bit of common decency and not act like a rotten human being would be difficult, but hey, considering that people like YOU keep demanding that I do these things, I don't see why the same can't be demanded of Bioware.

Really, it's pretty amusing when you stop to consider that Bioware has the gall to enact a 'zero tolerance' policy on how people behave on their forums, when their business conduct is atrocious. If you translated the way that Bioware handles its userbase into a verbal response, and posted it on here, you'd get banned under the current rule system. It's pretty much like a waiter spitting in your food right in front of you, and when you cuss him out over it they throw you out for causing a scene.
