Bioware is working so hard on the game and it may very well be a great game but thanks to Mass Effect 3's failure it may fail anyways.
We should be willing to give Bioware a chance.  Just because Mass Effect 3 sucked does not mean we should take it out on Dragon Age III, it might be what redeems Bioware afterall since we now all know for certain that the indoctrination theory is a load of crap.

From $$$-point-of-view ME3 is far drom failure.
And this more than enough for EA. And, somehow, i see DA3 will become a $$$-hit as well.

I guess it only takes a good game to turn (most) people around. After all, word of mouth works both ways.

You mean DA2 messed up DA3.

DA and ME are two different teams, generes and writers. Its DA2 that one should focus on that would put doubts on 3.

I'm going to buy it. I hope alistair is back, and not just news about his death or something.

DA2 made its own share of skeptics.

In a sense, I do feel a little bit sorry for them since they didn't have anything to do with ME3, but they also have to just plain deal with it. The whole point of putting a company's logo on a product is so that the consumer associates it with other things that the company has done, and it goes both ways. They want you to remember the good things, but it's also fair to remember the bad. If they truly didn't want us to associate the teams with each other, they wouldn't put the Bioware label on it.

Hm, I think I'll wait to hear a couple of player reviews before I consider buying it, just to be on the safe side.

Don't worry, my desire to play DA3 was already killed by DA2 and its choice of 7 rooms.

This thread is not going to last - it is not ME3 related. However, I think that any bad luck DA3 may have will be more because of DA2 than ME3. While DA2 did appeal to many, it was a slap in the face to many as well. IF anything clouds DA3 I think that it will be more how they have handed the DA franchise more than how Mass Effect was handled. I do think that ME3 will have *some* impact (distrust of things devs are saying, etc.) but I am not sure it will be a driving factor.

I know that while I have hopes for DA3, I am VERY skeptical of it.

Not really (as in, I don't feel sorry for DA3). I'll still buy it if it looks decent, I just probably won't go mad and get a Collector's Edition. As long as it steers clear of certain glaring errors that its predecessor was guilty of, it'll probably do alright.

I'll give them a chance, I just won't be blindly trusting that it won't disappoint and pre ordering.

It's a different team of writers of course but seeing how rushed development impacted DA2 and how that seems to be forming a trend with the ME3 I have no compelling reason to believe DA3 won't be the same.

Yes... I used to proclaim  the other way around but ---  2 supposed  bioWare hits gone down the tubes due to a supposed rush?

Sorry, my consumer faith has dropped below excited  Day-1 buys, I'm now waiting for that collateral to be retuned from action instead of reved up words and trailers.

Did I miss a memo? How do we know for certain that the IT is wrong? I'm not a particularly devoted adherent or anything, just interested.

Oh, I'll definitely play it.

Let's just say that they're running low on chances, though, and need to get it right.

You guys should stop being mean and give Bioware a chance! The reason Dragon Age II was a failure was because it was rushed. It came out only 16 months after Dragon Age:Origins. Dragon Age III on the other hand probably won't come out until 2013 meaning that we'll see much more of Bioware's artistic integrity.
