Does anyone else feel sorry for Dragon Age III?

I forgot about that. It became even more annoying when they nerfed one-shotting stuff with DW Rouges. It was one of the ways to rush through all those waves a bit more quickly.
All I could think was why in the hell would they nerf-patch a single player game?
Well, they did nerf the hell out of DA:O as well. First they nerf difficulty by making it easier (didn't need that) and then some of my favourite spells, like crushing prison.
The bodycount Hawke accumulates on the streets of... that city which I try to forget... is indeed awe inspiring as it is horrible.

But... but... we don't actually know anything about Dragon Age 3 since they haven't given us any information of it, so how can we say it'll suck?
Oh fine, I'll stop trying to bring reason onto this forum. Let them wild speculations continue...
I don't know what the game will be like.I do know I won't trust any of the hype from BW.So I will not pre order.I will wait.

All they need to do to win back my trust is to make a good game that adequately lives up to Dragon Age: Origins. I want the same length, lore, attention to detail, number of options, character customisation and level of consequence that we got in that game.
Unlike a number of people, I had no problem with the move to a voiced protagonist or the art style changes in DA2. What was unacceptable was the obvious rushed nature of the entire game, the sense that they were half-assing and simplifying everything (look at the descriptions on even minor loot in DA:O compared with the multitude of loot with names like "ring" and "boots" in DA2). The main plot didn't flow very well either, and the loss of the isometric camera and the addition of endless wave spawns were dire mistakes.
There's nothing there that can't be fixed. All they need is to learn their lessons from DA2 and spend significantly, significantly more time on DA3.
To add to this it was a bit odd they had a "junk/trash" section in the inventory.
One thing DA2 had that was kinda nice was the narration. Generally I didnt mind some of the art style changes, or fast combat(loved that actually) it was when it became too ninja-y that made it look cheesy.

Who the hell cares. I want Dragon Age: Origins II
THIS THIS THIS THIS THIS
I would pre-order a game with that title in a heartbeat if they said it would use the Eclipse Engine.

I'm hopeful DA3 makes a turn-around. Even if it turns out brilliant though, I suspect it won't get nearly a fraction of pre-orders that DA2 and ME3 did because of hype. What Bioware is really lacking right now is trust from their own customers, and this is due to their detachment of addressing customer concerns while pushing marketing out of proportions.

Hm, I think I'll wait to hear a couple of player reviews before I consider buying it, just to be on the safe side.
Agreed, and like others said, it's not just because of ME3, DA2 did a good job of making people skeptical of DA3 as is.

I would be so bold as to say, the story was Dragon Age 2's strong point. Varric (who is the narrator) is one of their (bioware's) better characters. I mean, it's like they took a page out of George Martin's books when they wrote DA2. Important characters dying left and right all story along. Initially I felt as if Bioware hated me when I looked at the story, but then I realized they were only harsh bacause they cared and wanted to make a memorable story. Too bad that didn't quite work out for them on their next games.

Think DA2 did more harm for DA3 than ME3 did. Of course, I think a lot of people would be less willing to give Bioware a chance if they don't address ME3's ending in a way that satisfies most people. Speculation of course.

The only issue I had with it was the fact that they reused a lot of the same area's over and over, but willing to over look for the rest of the content.
Sure it didn't live up to the excitement of DA:O, but sequels very rarely do.
If anything, the only other issue I have is they should have dealt more with the darkspawn.
However the whole Mage Vs. Chantry thing was cool too. (Granted I only ever played as a mage, maybe less cool if playing as other class?)

Yeh reuse of the same fin dungeon all over the place was a big nono for me. I also didnt like the chars or char interaction in DA 2, compared to DA:O. Also the story wasnt "epic enough", and it was to partioned. But it wasnt a bad game, it just wasnt fantastic either. it was just ok.

Bioware is working so hard on the game and it may very well be a great game but thanks to Mass Effect 3's failure it may fail anyways.
We should be willing to give Bioware a chance. Just because Mass Effect 3 sucked does not mean we should take it out on Dragon Age III, it might be what redeems Bioware afterall since we now all know for certain that the indoctrination theory is a load of crap.
This. No way will I buy DA3.

And don't throw that "we have to sell DLC" on your customers faces, BW. Bethesda has already shown you how it's done.

If you have modding tools you can't sell weapon packs.Jarcander wrote...
Hmm, I forgot to mention "LACK OF MODDING TOOLS" on my DA2 hate list. It is actually quite significant if you look at the amount of free content that is available for DA:O just because it has modding tools. This is also one of the things that made Bioware's Neverwinter Nights great in its days.
I swear, people just don't understand <_<
