Why would i feel sorry for them. if Bioware had not lied in the past and was not still lying they would have no problem getting preorders for this game. Once you lie and lose the trust of people you have no right to complain if they stop buying from you.

I'm not going to preorder DA3. If they kept the DA2 action gameplay style, then I'll buy it in a couple of years when it drops to $20-30.

And don't throw that "we have to sell DLC" on your customers faces, BW. Bethesda has already shown you how it's done.

Bioware is working so hard on the game and it may very well be a great game but thanks to Mass Effect 3's failure it may fail anyways.
We should be willing to give Bioware a chance.  Just because Mass Effect 3 sucked does not mean we should take it out on Dragon Age III, it might be what redeems Bioware afterall since we now all know for certain that the indoctrination theory is a load of crap.

By golly, you're right! We should keep throwing money at the company no matter how many times they disappoint! Otherwise they might feel obliged to try harder or tone it down on day 1 DLC, and we wouldn't want that to happen!

Hmm, I forgot to mention "LACK OF MODDING TOOLS" on my DA2 hate list. It is actually quite significant if you look at the amount of free content that is available for DA:O just because it has modding tools. This is also one of the things that made Bioware's Neverwinter Nights great in its days.

If you have modding tools you can't sell weapon packs.

I lol'd hard when despite the lack of a modkit, someone made a mod that gave weapons almost identical to those overpriced nonsense packs, only with improved HD textures.

That's probably why even SP mods will get you banned from Origin this time around. -_-

No... DA3 has its own problems of overcoming DA2s failings. Anyone who believes pre-release hype on any game is setting themselves up for disappointment.

I fail to see why people people think DA2 was a failure.

The only issue I had with it was the fact that they reused a lot of the same area's over and over, but willing to over look for the rest of the content.

Sure it didn't live up to the excitement of DA:O, but sequels very rarely do.

If anything, the only other issue I have is they should have dealt more with the darkspawn.
However the whole Mage Vs. Chantry thing was cool too. (Granted I only ever played as a mage, maybe less cool if playing as other class?)

I don't think DA2 was a failure.

I mean the story wasn't great - rather dull for a fantasy game and story was ultimately guided by outside player choice (anders, meredith, arashock), but the big issue with DA2 was lack of areas.

ME3 is good until the last 10 minutes.

I will probably get DA3, but will wait for user reviews and fan outcry first.

This, I will simply wait for weeks and see what user reviews say about the game.

Aye, they were both better than I anticipated.

I expected a lot from DA2, and though that steadily dropped as more info was leaked and the demo became available, it still fell short.

If they fix the ME3 ending, I'll likely buy DA: 3 (I didn't love DA:2, but I didn't hate it either). If the ME3 ending is still crap when DA:3 comes out, I will still prolly buy it...but I will wait till the prices drop and buy it used.

After seeing where they went with DA2, I will surely not bother playing DA3 - especially with the ME3 ending situation not being resolved.

i was really looking forward to DA3 and still kind of am. But now I'm planning to wait until a week or so after release and checking forums/fan reviews to see how it is. I'll try avoid reading spoilers about the ending but I'll want to get a feel for if Bioware totally crapped the bed or not.

DA3 won't be a pre-order for me. DA2 was... average, but it was one of the first RPGs where I felt that the world would've been better off if the main char hadn't been around at all. That isn't the sort of game I enjoy playing.

I'll see the reviews and might get it later, with a price drop. Shame though, before DA2 and ME3 Bioware games were instant Day 1 buys.

They removed race selection from Da2, that alone was a sore wound. If they add it back to DA3, make it more like Origins and less like DA2 then it's future looks brighter.

Then again I'm more than likely to wait a few months and buy it, just in case we get another DA2 or ME3.

Yeh, I can see it one week after launch the forums chock full of rage when DA3 reveals that Morrigans child was the starchild and leading the fifth blight is Harbinger,

and the ending is full of specu........................................ASSUMING CONTROL

Dragon Age 3 will be a worthy successor to the legacy of stellar story telling Bioware is famous for, reflected in the 10/10 reviews we will be receiving from the gaming press.

Don't worry, my desire to play DA3 was already killed by DA2 and its choice of 7 rooms.

This. Also all this ME3 ending mess overkill it.

I already know I'll preorder a copy because I'm that kind of nerd. I didn't really like DA2 but still played through it twice. As for ME3 whatever you want to say bout the ending I personally thought the majority of the game was fantastic, I'll keep buying bioware games because I enjoy them and I'll keep nitpicking at the them because I'm a passionate fan

first, ME3 was not a failure. it sold well and it got high praise from review sites. secondly, DA2 is a different team and in some ways different fans.
