I won't be buying DA3, but that's something I'd already decided after DA2. It felt rushed, confused, and dumbed-down, and the DLC felt like a lazy cash-grab. I don't care if they say it'll be better in DA3. That series gets no more of my money, and that's that. So no, I don't feel sorry for DA3. This is what happens to quality titles when EA acquires a studio - rushed development, not much flexibility over deadlines, poor support...

ME3 was pretty much the last chance I was giving BioWare. I figured even the EA execs would see how big Mass Effect was and leave the devs alone to finish the series as it deserved, but we've seen how that turned out. BioWare used to make must-buy titles, but now? It's back to Bethesda and CD Projekt for my RPG goodness.

The thing that put me off of dragon age 3 was when a few players, stated that we didn't like their game and gave reasons why, instead of actually listening, they insulted us for not "getting it" and laidlaw if memory serves correct stated how he wanted the COD audiance, if that meant "streamlining" the game and losing the majority of the original's audience, then so be it, they didn't make the game for us, they made it for the COD audience, what they didn't know is, the COD audience is perfectly happy with COD, and neglecting your established fanbase in favor of one you don't even appeal to is just foolish

If this is true, then I am definitely buying DA3 used, if at all.

Source?

I doubt I'll buy it, Bioware is quickly becoming Fable to me, so many broken promises it's not worth getting hopes up anymore

And if I do want to buy it, I'll go Used

you know I loved DA2 and I looked pas it's non ending but I can't look past ME3's ending as it butcher everything good about the whole thing so I may get it on steam sale at say £10 but there is no way I'm getting a pre-order no matter how good it is.

Dragon Age was what brought Bioware to my attention in the first place. I loved DA:O and DA2 despite it's obvious flaws. So yeah, I'm patiently waiting for DA3 and hey, since my initial shock of ME3's ending is over, I can expect the worse and not be too disappointed.

You guys should stop being mean and give Bioware a chance! The reason Dragon Age II was a failure was because it was rushed. It came out only 16 months after Dragon Age:Origins. Dragon Age III on the other hand probably won't come out until 2013 meaning that we'll see much more of Bioware's artistic integrity.

I don't think we can take anymore of Bioware's artistic integrity.   Can you imagine what they might do with Sandal at the end of DA3?   I don't even want to think about it.   I'm going to pass on the whole thing.

Sandal will be in a dungeon and give your character three choice for an ending.
1.Red Enchantment:Mages Win
2.Green Enchantment:Templars Win
3.Blue Enchantment.:Sir Pounce- A- lot Wins

And there will be much speculation on who will win..Mages or Templars? With much wagering at the local tavern and Isabela will be there showing much cleavage.

Among plenty of other reasons I didn't like [read hated with all my being] at least one or two of the creative choices / decisions made in DA:2 so DA:3 wasn't likely to get my $ anyway.

Now with both DA:2 and ME3 full of creative choices that are personally offensive to me as a gamer I honestly don't feel sorry for DA:3 at all.

***********************************************************

One of the few things that a responsible consumer can do is vote with their wallets. If it takes not buying DLC for ME3 [just like I didn't buy DA:2 DLC] ; not buying DA:3 at all ; etc. to let BW know that they're out of touch [with me] then so be it.

Really, I don't get what was so bad about DA2. I found it mildly disappointing that the conversation with companions was different (couldn't talk to them whenever) but that's about it. I liked it. A lot. The story was great - focused and well-paced - the fighting was fun, the companions were hilarious... I'm actually kind of pissed that people made such a stink about it that they abandoned the planned DA2 expansion. I wanted to play that.

lol there is a old interview about the project manager for DA2 saying that he wanted to take out more of the RPG element and make it more FPS.. he wanted faster action.

His Background = Work on or project lead most of the FPS games for EA.

Why should we feel sorry for them? They screwed up DA2, still made a lot of money and will likely get a lot of money again.

I'll wait until Steam gives an epic.....oh wait.

Afraid I'm very skeptical, especially with DA3's multiplayer. Humans vs Dragons? WTH?

Not buying dragon age 3 because I didn't really like how DA2 turned out. Plus I'm also not buying it because of ME3.

Oh don't get me wrong, I like the old-style RPG too. I really think I'm just less picky when it comes right down to it. But DA/ ME were the first games I ever played so I wasn't exposed to any RPGs prior and thus, never had the chance to get super attached to the old-school stuff/styles.
