I have been playing all the Mass Effect games with an offline Gamertag, no Silver or Gold membership and now since Multiplayer has been incorporated into the Single player campaign, I find myself needing to go online in order to increase my War Asset Readiness rating.
There is no way I can convert my offline gamertag to an online gamertag, since the name is already taken on xbox live.
I have a second, online membership Gamertag that is registered with ME3 on Origin, (this is how I buy DLC) so I was wondering if I can play multiplayer on that then transfer it to my offline gamertag? Is it possible to get War Assets that way?
Do I have any options to increase my War Asset rating using my offline account?
How about if I buy/use the Mass Effect IOS Apps?
Any suggestions are welcome.

The iOS apps require a link to an xboxlive account.
The only thing you can do that I can think of. Is upgrade your account to silver or gold and change your gamer tag since you said the one you have is taken.
