Make:

- Admit to the lies that were told.
- Those responsible for the "ending" to commit seppuku.
- Make proper DLC.
- Make DA3 awesome (not like DA2).

Break:

- Ah yes "horrible ending". We have dismissed that claim.

lol

Hmmm, a power cut to the building they are in. That'd break them I'm guessing, at least until power is restored. Although they could probably still do things like design notes, concept art, test case scenarios and idea crunching using pencils and paper or maybe even a whiteboard.

A buch of people there probably have note books as well so maybe it won't.

EDIT: Not that I'm condoning nor asking anyone to actively try to cut the power to the building Bioware is in!

Domber if you do remember that Shadow Broker came from fan feedback people wanting more story with liara. Make a post about what you feel should be in DLC there are about 50 of them going on I bet. Also there is a couple about the ending as well were you can voice what you wish to see in the ending.

It's all tragic.I never thought in my wildess dreams we the body of fans would be on social-bioware forum expressing our sadness about Mass Effect 3. I deffo thought we would be singing praise and discussing
our greatest moments as we all did about M1 and M2 whilst waiting in line to purchase our long awaited copy of Mass Effect 3,To say I'm shocked would be an understatement .That said to all whom got what they wanted in the end game and feel complete I...Indeed salute you!!

Make:
* Fix the ending. Admit that it sucks, and preferably apologise.
* Stop posting responses in obvious PR filtered double speak. Communicate openly and honestly with the community. Come on BioWare, we've supported you for years, don't we deserve some candid communication?
* Make Dragon Age III closer to DA:O. Capitalise on the features that make Dragon Age Dragon Age. Bring it closer to its classic RPG heritage. Design it primarily as a PC RPG, and secondly as a console RPG (i.e. make it intelligent).

Break:
* Refusal to fix the ending, or admit that they dropped the ball.
* Charging for DLC that fixes broken gameplay (e.g. the ending). You ship a product that 90% of your most loyal fanbase finds to be a gamebreaker, you patch it for free.
* Continued dumbing down of products to focus on action at the expense of engaging characters and story telling.
* Shipping bare-bones games with inadequate development time so that there's more opportunity to sell DLC which should have been in the game to begin with.
* Charging for Day 1 DLC.

New ending. Anything else and they're still "broken" in my book and wallet.

What would break? well if BW didn't put any work into their next game, no debugging, no testing, etc, no fun factor at all. If I can't enjoy a BW game then it's over. Luckily for me, BW doesn't make **** games.

Heh, I would think this goes for almost everyone here in the forums. People have been so disappointed/angry with recent events that it makes one wonder if Bioware is actively trying to push it's most loyal fanbase away. As much as I have defended Bioware in the past even I am left to wonder just what in the heck is going on.  Image IPB

EA are, face it smart, they know how to "milk" money from us, but that also means having to put a litle effort in to correcting misstakes so that we the fans keep buying their products. If they ignore this BW wont survieve with 8% of their fanbase intact, that is just busniess

Fixing the endings will make it for me. I also wouldn't object to whoever wrote the ending singing the "Very Sorry Song."

I don't want to be a Negative Nelly but Bioware is already broken for me :/

Seriously the compromising and artistically bankrupt way they handled the ME3 DLC/multiplayer/lies ( it is quite pathetic that the pirates get the better version of the game ) combined with the reception of DA2 has lost them the fan base, tbh.

But I am not surprised. Association with EA is terminal illness for a company.

Goodnight, sweet prince.

The make or break point for me will be Dragon Age 3.

Yes, it would help if they fixed (not clarified) the endings, but I was always more invested in the DA franchise. It'd suck to never see the end of my Shepard's story, but I can live with never buying ME3 if the endings aren't fixed.

Yes, it would help if BW started acting and communicating more like a company of passionate game enthusiasts and less like a wall of corporate suits issuing vague political statements. But I'm guessing this will never happen and however sad it is, I can live with it if at the end of the day the games are as awesome as in the past.

At the end of the day though, Dragon Age 3 will be the real test to see if BW has fallen from grace in my eyes.
Is it rushed out with bugs, lack of polish and a mess of a last act/ending?
Is there a tacked on unwanted multiplayer component? (is it required for single player story outcomes)?
Is it Origin required even for physical purchases?
Does it try too hard to appeal to a different (larger) demographic?

Any number of those would be the final straw for me, which would cement in my mind that the Bioware I loved that made awesome games appealing to me is dead and buried. Whether I think it is EA's fault or not, my interest in Bioware's projects and franchises would evaporate and I'd approach any future releases that might sound appealing on paper with extreme caution if at all.

Already broken...

EA forcing Origins onto consoles, delaying release....Bioware Bazaar....lies about awakenings...more bugs than in the rainforest....more lies....DA2.....more lies.....end of ME3.....EA forcing the next Command & Conquer onto Bioware ( I mean seriously...have EA not already utterly killed the franchise?)....the hybrid that is supposedly DA3....

Done and dusted for me....

Make:
1. New ending DLC (preferably free, but if it's of high enough quality I have no problem paying for it)
2. Applogize for the negitive comments about the fan base.
3. Take more time on your games and get them right, we will wait if it means a better product.

Break:
1. Continue on the path you are one and keep rushing games
2. Keep alienating your fan base.
3. Fail to properly address the problems with the ending.

man, I'm sure Stanley Kubrick was glad the internet didn't exist when he made 2001, that ending positively didn't make sense (and included a star child), luckily for him even if it did exist he was headstrong enough to ignore everyone. Anyway, back on topic...

Make: Fix the game, simple as that; get rid of all the lag, freezes and bugs - I'd like to walk through the citadel without taking a random break every 10 steps. Is Shephard really that unfit that the game has to freeze so that he can catch his breath on a regular basis?

Break: Change the ending. I don't care about your opinion. I care that a group of people, no matter how passionate, think they can use bullying tactics and force, to alter someone elses vision. There's been a few posts quoting 'artistic integrity' as a bad thing, and an excuse. Well guess what, I'd rather have a bad ending that is pure, than a soul-less happy bunny ending created just to pander to uberfans with a good cup cake recipe.

-An admission of a poorly conceived ending, of the many broken promises.
-New content that would help create the ending the series deserves.
-Honesty and understanding.

Break
- "This was our plan all along"
- "We can't hear you above our artistic integrity"
- "This response has been a positive thing"
- Whether the horrible ending was intentional or not, I'd hate to see it used as a way to make more money (which is why the indoctrination theory would reflect horribly on bioware). Where's the "artistry" in that?

While it could be bioware's plans that makes or breaks them for fans, their motivations behind the endings and dlc may have already done it for plenty of people. Creating one of the worst endings in both science fiction and gaming is pretty impressive, so it's a little sad that the most innocent reason it happened is that they legitimately fail at storytelling. If their intention was to sell us an incomplete/incoherent story so that they could make money from DLC, I think gamers in general will be done with bioware.

I have decided not to pre-order DA3, after I played DA2. After ME3, I have decided not to pre-order any BW game.

I haven't pre-ordered a game since wrath of the lich king. Burned too many times.

Wait no, I remember incorrectly. I did in fact pre-order SWTOR, but only for the early game access. :P

Make: PAID (I'm willing to meet Bioware halfway) DLC or an Expansion pack that redoes the ENTIRE ending sequence, or at least redoes everything that happens after Shepard rides the magic elevator to StarChild. Or a Kal'Reegar Squadie/LI DLC. That works too. ;)

Break: Bioware's first announced DLC being an MP or Alt. Appearance pack, to me, that SCREAMS that they're not taking out concerns seriously and/or don't give a rats ass.

I actually think that would be likely and logical, because it seems noticably cheaper and easier to produce than full on story DLC, especially in regards to something like an appearance pack. If the story DLC takes time..that's fine for me.

I don't mind if it's the first released DLC. I understand that a real Ending DLC will take time to do. But, say at PAX, they don't address the Ending concerns at ALL and instead just smile and offer up their new MP pack for $15.

Make: A new solid ending true to the series; either going with IT or a full rewrite of the Priority Earth mission. Preferably with a ME2 suicide mission style interactive final battle.

Break: The ending will stand, but we made you this awesome multiplayer map pack.

Make
Fix the obvious bugs in a timely fashion, fix the ending properly & remove 'Origin'
Put QA ahead of 'just get it out the door'

Break
Anything else!
