Though, I'd be curious as to what you actually mean by "listen to us" and "ignore feedback from the community" because, personally, I've seen a lot of feedback and some of it directly conflicts with one another. (Change the ending/don't change the ending) So, which feedback, in particular, do you mean?

Hey, change/don't change isn't even the hard one. The hard one is figuring out what the folks who want a change are asking for.

Exactly. I've not seen universal agreement on anything.

And I doubt we ever will.

It all boils down to ME3 ending really. They've made some terrible decissions with their developement and PR in recent years IMO, therefore how they react to this particular issue will determine if I ever bother with their products again. Such a pitty though, they used to be my absolute favorite game developer.

Seriously... any additional content they make for the endings is just going to be more disappointment and more of BioWare illustrating that they either just haven't learned or don't really care or want to do things properly.

It's pretty simple. We want an ending which is logically sound, consistent with Mass Effect lore and gameplay, and leaves the player with a sense of closure and satisfaction. Is it that hard to understand?
Ideally we also want exactly what the developers said the game would have in their pre-release statements. That's pretty simple, right?

Sure, everybody has personal wishlists, but those are irrelevant. Nobody expects the develepors to make every change suggested by every single fan. We're not asking for anything except the ending the game should have had - that the developers themselves acknowledged that it should have had.
The ending that shipped with the game is not what it should have been. That's not simply our opinion, it's what the developers themselves expressed before they inexplicably shipped with that abortion of an ending.

This whole situation may break bioware for me. I feel they are doing too much pr, and hiding. And so many articles out there saying endings were for publicity, polarized effect, endings were already there. It is making me sick of whole franchise. I cant bring myself to play any of the games now, i have canceled my mass effect comics, and as for the movie I will probably wait to get reactions before I see it. I feel Biowae and EA could have handled this better. Instead they get all these critics who get game for free then give it awesome score and call the fans whinners and crybabies. This situation has also made it to where I no longer trust critics, from here on out I will look at user reviews, and for preorders NEVER AGAIN!

Unfortunately I fear Bioware is no longer Bioware but has synthesized into EA.

Well, I think everybody would like to see the endings at least a bit more detailed (like really seeing you War Assets in there, ya know?) - think that´s something everyone would agree with...

As for which ending would be appropriate, who knows? I didn´t read too much into this ending they wanted to go with prior to the leak (indoctrination ending or something), but that might be a possibility as well - if they were to change anything, of course.

I myself would be happy with them fixing the readiness, some dumb bugs ( stuck in the pilot´s cabin, characters becoming invisible :D) and that damn journal.

They would have to actually address fan complaints with actual answers rather than PR speak at PAX.  Whether they do or not is the deciding factor.

With me they are outright broken (from your make or break title). They have to try and FIX themselves in my eyes so "make" is not an option. Recovery/repair is. That means a real ending for the game.

You know, Amazon is selling ME3 now for $23? Ya'll should have waited a couple weeks for the game to tank instead of spending $60-$80 for the corpse of a franchise.

Until Bioware can prove that they have returned to their ways of great RPG's, that did not screw over their fans with rushed/incomplete products, that are only fixed by charging for DLC, this will be the only way I purchase future products from them.

I think that todays EA Announcement of polishing the current ending has broken them!

I wonder if EA hopes that this will stop the share price falling, because I have my doubts about that, even the 'suits' have doubts about EAs future!

Only smoke and mirrors on Biowares/EA part.  They are not offering new game play, not offering new choices, all they are going to do is add some more cinematics, to explain why the Green/Red/Blue choices were perfectly acceptable.  The timing is to try to stop the damage that is being done by outraged fans, and dropping stock prices, just before PAX East.  Some people will accept this as the Anti-Enders winning.  I see it as just the first skirmish, in which they finally acknowledge there is a problem.  But they are attempting to solve the problem by essentially keeping things the same, just offering some fluff.

After today's announcement, nothing.  Once I am done with ME3, I'm deleting origin & my business with EA/Bioware.

Break: Caving in and adding a shoddy happy ending that's equally as poorly written as the current ending hour.

Make: Removing Sprites, adding in more diversity to enemies and Reaper Ships. Fixing all of the bugs, make the SP Co-Op, adding your War Assets to actually fight with or for you. Adding Heavy Weapons and the Collector Weapons to SP for carrying around. Removing redundant skins and re-textures on everyone (this is not Fallout NV) and remove the Eclipse Salarians on Surkesh, and add a battle to actually fight a Sovereign class Reaper.

Really, I'm fine with the game, I just want the damn bugs to be patched.

Bioware is already broken in my eyes. I won't be buying their future products, because of the game-breaking "Black Hole bug," and BW's appalling (lack of) customer service in response to it.

I'm just waiting for the patch to come out so I can play this game again. Then I'll be done with BW. EA really has sucked the soul out of a once-great company.

Make -

DLC that adds ADDITIONAL ENDINGS to ME3. Bonus points if the Earth mission is entirely rewritten to incorporate our accumulated war assets in a fashion similar to the suicide mission OR if the indoctrination theory is expanded upon.

Break -

DLC that simply clarifies the current endings without providing additional endings.

lol. irony

SNAP
That was the sound at 9am when I read the press release. As of this afternoon, I will be cancelling my SWTOR account (sad, because I love that game so far, and I usually hate MMO's). It's time to talk with more than just words.
