I got the one for ME2 but I can't say it was that useful as I was more into the pictures and the art I guess --- did anyone else get this for ME3?
Is the Prima Guide to Mass Effect 3 Worth Getting?

You really don't need one.

I don't know why you'd need one.

I've never been into guides, but ever since wikia they're pretty much obselete.

I don't get game guides anymore, they were good before the internet had walkthroughs for every game. I guess if you like novelty items

I picked up one of the guides, it isn't as useful or provide you with enough information like the internet does. Trust me, its not worth picking up.

The Prima guide to ME2 didn't even have a walk-through through the suicide mission. Just one example of where the right site (or sites) on the internet can be more thorough than the guide you can spend money on.

Not a single walkthrough for any game is ever worth it, lol.

I like owning physical guides, but I was bitterly dissapointed with the prima guide. It is not laid out well, it does not provide maps, The fact that it doesn't give you pictures of where to scan in star-systems is a minor niggle, and it commits what I consider to be the cardinal crime of a game-guide, it's incomplete.
There are items in the SP campaign which are NOT mentioned in the guide, and that's unforgiveable in my mind.

Actually, Now would be a good time to get one, if you are so inclined. The guides usually go for $24.99 and $39.99 for the regular and collector's edition respectively. However, I have seen the price drop to $14.99 and $24.99 for regular and collector's edition.

How much did you pay for that? Because you just wasted (insert amount paid).

I would get it, it's easier to flip through a guide then it is to scroll through pages of a long internet guide

The guide doesn't even have a list of warfare assets you would think a "comprehensive" guide would have this, unless prima was told not to include this info.

I bought one because of collector's reasons, but the information inside is not worth it.

No. I have the Fallout CE guides. Those were beautifully done. They even look nice on my shelf.
If the ME ones had been that nice and comprehensive, then I would snap them up.

Nothing Prima is ever worth getting. I've gotten two guides from them and both had blatant wrong directions, chest contents, spelling and grammar errors, to the point where they were not even usable.
Use the Mass Effect Wiki if you need info, it's much more professional than any Prima guide I've seen.
