I just equip a sniper rifle on Krogan. Then you get the best of both worlds. I only really melee when I'm surrounded or ambushed. And I'm a very big team player, you'll generally see me rushing to revive people no matter what class.

Krogans can do some great epic rescues for downed teammates. I can't count how many times I've rushed an enemy about to stomp on someone. "Get off my teammate!" WHAM *revive*

i only do this with krogan on bronze and the first few wave of silver only ocasionaly leaving the zone objective cause the other are too busy to get them quickly

Also its not a Krogan its a human player being a grifer.
When I play Krogan I try to be in circle etc but there tank a class.

Krogans & Vanguards annoy the hell out of me. I totally agree with the OP. Especially about the running around slapping thing. I hate it when I have an enemy right in front of me & the stupid Krogan jumps in front of me & slaps it across the screen. "Uh...dude...I got this one! No really, I appreciate the help but I'm good. Go play somewhere else ok?"

I gotta disagree with the poster, played a silver game earlier with 2 Krogans, they kept the heat off the Hacking zone and coordinated very well. Once I was taken down by a Banshee and Brute combo after finishing up a Terminal so my cloak was on CD, and I told them that the situation. One came over, shot them and started luring while the other detoured and told my infiltrator to "Stop whining", causing her to rise up to the challenge.

And GOD was I happy when they DIDN'T do terminals.

Or hacks.

Or came rushing to save me when I was down in an impossible scenario immediately. Them clearing up the room and THEN reviving was tactical genius I haven't seen in the more "courteous" players.

Most fun I've had in Bronze (wonder how Silver would have gone) was duoing my human vanguard with a Krogan sentinel after the other two players dropped.

I think people are being needlessly precious about this. I've teamed with a lot of Krogan, and while I do admit it can get a bit frustrating when I lose several targets in a row to their bloodrage, it doesn't really matter how the bad guys die as long as they all die and we get XP and credits.

Anyway, my experience is that Krogan players are just as likely to get objectives, hang out in the hacking area, revive players, and in general do team stuff as anyone else.

Not completely true, OP.

I've seen a fair share of Krogan, myself one of them from time to time, who keep an eye on the team perimeter. Anything that dares to walk within the danger zone usually gets backhanded across the room. Personally, since I favore the sniper playstyle, I love anyone who handles those pesky husks and is willing to tank things for me.

Also do keep in mind that a melee specc'd solider or sentinel have like 100-300% melee damage bonus when they're enraged + martial artist. If I had a weapon damage bonus that high, hell yes I'd be using it all the time.

Granted, this gets to our heads =p  (pun intended) and we actively seek things to headbutt. Sure, there are krogan who don't stick together. But I'm sure as hell glad they're taking the hits and not me. ^^

i see this all the time on bronze...BUT ONLY ON BRONZE.

it bugs me sometimes....but it aint no big thang...cuz it is only bronze.

Too many people get slap happy with krogans I'll give you that, but krogans can be good teammates. They can lead the charge to objectives and soak up bullets when **** gets real.

Exactly, if you haven't tried a krogan then you don't know the feeling of seeing the enemy riping to shreads while you charge at it, even the phantoms **** their pants when they see a krogan.

I would have to disagree with this I'm afraid OP.

It all depends if you find the right Krogan(s) on your team because my experience with Tuchankas finest has been nothing but epic.

Especially when they seem a bit p****d off, there's nothing else like it when they hang around in pairs but get an entire team of them? I feel a lot more safer being surrounded by walking tanks while dealing with an objective then any other class.

But that is of course if you can find those particular Krogans, they are out there and I'm proud to be apart of the brother hood.

Do you ever tried to stick with a Krogan? Stay behind him, go where he is going, saving his ass and letting he take all the shots. Make good use of your tank friend and give him support as he go around sending everyone to see Jesus. A krogan with a experienced player given him support is unstoppable.


Krogan, Rage is a two-edged sword. It can be your salvation and your death. Avoid melee, unless you have a clear strategy to kill all the guys that will be surrounding you. Stay in the front, but use your damn weapon, grenades and powers. Melee is to kill one or two enemies alone, and to save you when you get flanked. Rage is good, but you can't use it and stay alive, don't use it.

I still havent unlocked a SINGLE Krogan. I have EVERY race, am level like 230 something, maxed out so many guns, bought so many packs, and have NOT unlocked a krogan Soldier or Sentinel. I had a soldier in the demo. FML.

What's this thread about? Can't see anything since my face is covered in blood from all the charging and "slapping" things. Granted, I only do it in bronze but it's not fun only for me, my cousin was laughing his bottocks off when he saw Cerberus troops flying across his screen. It's just that much fun and isn't having fun the main thing about games?

There have been times when I've directed my Krogan away from an area hack explicitly to clear out the enemies to keep the area from being overrun. I've also ignored the "activate/deactivate the four points" at times to instead keep the enemy as a whole off balance.

Also, when that Rage gets going....... I may sometimes have a hard time distinguishing friend from foe, inanimate from animate, circles from squares, that sort of thing.
