OP I play a Krogan Sentinel frequently and I do all of the above and :gasp: I even try not to steal people's kills. Poorly played or selfish Krogans are an indicator of the player playing them not the race as a whole. Bet you wouldn't talk about an Asari that way...racist.

Sounds like the OP is just jealous. All us Krogan know the truth of it. Nothing matters on the battlefield but victory or defeat--glory or ignominy--headbutts or pratfalls. Anyone who dies in the pursuit of glory is expendable. Silly consoles are but a distraction to the real objective--eliminating the scum of the Reapers and their army from the galaxy--the Krogan way.

My husband plays a Krogan and he's always the one reviving and doing the objective and all around keeping the rest of the team safe. His Krogan Soldier and my human Sentinel... we kind of kick arse when it comes to matches.

Earlier today, I was playing with three quarian infiltrators. I had this feeling we were not going to complete the mission (silver), even before it started. So I kept my Krogan Sentinel bodyguarding them on that tower on Firebase Dagger where they were camping. We got overwhelmed, but I revived them a lot.

Krogan are just always tossing butter around. You can't keep them out of the galactic creameries.


When I play a krogan, I will revive you just to hear my little space turtle shout "Stop whining!" Then I will say "Tee hee!" (possibly while pushing my PTT hotkey) as I scurry to the next dead teammate. I will stay in a hacking area so you can listen to the sweet song of my Sabre launching krogan kisses at the bad guys. I will disable an indoctrination booster while the bads are shooting at me, because I'm a krogan and it's fun to see if I can take that beating and still turn off the crazy-making machine. But I am a complete rebel that way. You don't even know what's going to happen when I'm on a krogan. Sometimes I melee things so I can hear him laugh like a vengeful but benevolent Santa. Sometimes my krogan is PURPLE. Watch out!

To the OP:

You do realize that you're talking about human beings who are just pretending to be krogan, right? I get that a lot of people play krogan this way, but it's kind of silly to say that "krogan just ain't team players." It ain't the krogans' fault, and it's not as if everybody plays that way.

Personally, I love playing a krogan because they can soak up so much damage that I don't even flinch when somebody needs to be revived. They're also great for the hacking objective because it's no big deal if bad guys close in on you when you've got teammate standing by who can take a few hits and still punch a dude across the map.

Krogans (and vanguards) are close combat classes that have to rush to the enemy. I don't play those classes but I understand their behavior. So I do not mind them to leave a hacking area fo attacking.

There is this group of players who lack all sense of teamplay and the group who play Krogans. Somewhere these two groups overlap.

Having a Krogan stick to a line is wasting its very essence but there is a golden middle ground. Some people just completely ignore the rest of the team, but many know better and remain within a reasonable distance to throw enemies off the battlefield before they overwhelm the whole team.

I admit I do this on bronze, but thats bronze so who really gets hurt? However I do revive do terminals stay in the vicinity of the hack etc.
Silver and gold if I ever play them I will pretty much be your average soldier with some maiive slappin thrown in for lulz.

Well anyway .. krogans are designed for melee, and vanguards are designed to charge. It's hard to blame the players. Playing both (krogan especially) is a lot of fun. Using it on silver or even gold is another thing all together. On gold one player leaves group, and it's game over for everyone. On silver rushers just die too often.

I think it all depends on the team. I played krogan and I really loved playing him. Headbutting ATLAS, killing two phantom's in a row.. It's almost addictive.
But it's not like I abandon my teammates. If they are within my reach, I'll always help. Sometimes I was the only one, who was focused on the mission, rather than on killing things... So I did what I could to get the maximum time bonus. Also, eliminating key targets is really a great job for krogan, especially on Bronze.
If you don't have an Infiltrator on your team, krogans are really good for shutting down indoctrination devices, because they can take a huge ammount of damage, before someone comes to provide cover.
So, don't say krogans are mindless killing machines. It all depends on who is playing krogan and who's on a team.

Sure, I do the melee thing a bit. But when it's the trooper that was about to stomp on your neck that goes flying, and I then proceed to revive you while shrugging off heavy fire, you can be just a little bit grateful. 

Also I mostly play Krogan on Bronze just for fun. Silver and up I'll either play something else, or only go charging when there's someone who needs a revive and he's in the middle of a sea of enemies.

Why? Because they're always charging around slapping things. Anything even remotely resembling a mission objective can suck their quads.

My main character is a Krogan soldier and I rarely use melee. Most of the time just when weak enemies are near me or when I know they won't  give me a challenge anyway. Since my shields are pretty strong I revive squadmates pretty often (or escort someone else and catch the bullets while he does that). As for activating terminals: No problem with that, though I prefer someone else doing it while I shield them.
The biggest pro of Krogans is the improved survivability for me. Chose everything that makes it higher.

Krogans are your friend.  I LOVE playing a krogan & I cannot count the number of games where I was the last one standing & revived my whole team.  I love slapping enemies around, especially cannibals.  Halarious to see their bodies go limp & fly into the sky ahahaha
