I find Krogan Sentinel very effective for reviving. Was playing on Silver and someone went down amongst Ravagers and Brutes, I sat there and revived him and my mass HP was useful.

Krogans are definetily my favorite race to play.  I've played everything except a drell & I always end up going back to my krogan.  There just something about seeing seeing enemies go flying that makes me LoL.

I'd rather have a krogan charging around in close proximity to the hack/activation/fallen squadmate than one doing all that.

He takes the flak and tanks for the rest of us to cut the enemies down and do our jobs.

Just embrace the tears and let the other girly races go after objectives and revives, if there's is enemies alive on the map then they're to close and need backhanding. When the game finishes you'll be their hero even if they won't admit it

And OP, you clearly haven't played with rogue Vanguards as much as i have. Now those guys are really irritating. On Silver where they just Charge/Nova combo all the time not caring much for team play. I'm not incriminating all Vanguards, just like the rogue ones like i mentioned. I've had some amazing matches with Krogans and Vanguards on Silver, mind you.

I played a Krogan sentinel tonight, and I have to say I have newfound respect for Krogan players. I just can't get those unwieldy bastards to move the way I want them to, and god knows how many times mobs just walked out from under my melee.

I did finish a wave solo, however.

I still have to pick up your sorry backside on a regular basis, the least you could do is let me hold the entire perimeter by myself instead of cowering in a corner near a terminal.

The only good thing about a Krogan reviving a squadmate is the Krogan saying "stop whining" as he does it.

Seriously though, my favorite setup is probably my Krogan sentinel. Spec tech armor for full DR, Lift grenade for full range/cc, ignore incinerate, straight shields/health and weapon damage. Use a scoped M99 Saber and hang near the team. Anything that gets close to my squishier teammates and I switch to a claymore with the blade and go all mrawwhaha. Then it's back to the Saber, which has probably the meanest sound of any gun in a game, ever.

Why? Because they're always charging around slapping things. Anything even remotely resembling a mission objective can suck their quads.

A Krogan on the battlefield has 3 duties:

1. KILL things. Any way they can - smash them, blast them, rip them apart, stomp them, yank them over obstacles and turn their head into splattered mush with one single SLAMpunch.

2. Kill things between themselves/their team and any mission objectives or downed teammates.

3. Raging, roaring, loud, visible DISTRACTION. The Krogan gets everyone's attention while everyone else does the mission or works the heavies. My favorite memory of Krogan awesome is on the dreaded Reactor map - hack objective was on the end of the "pier" straight forward from the start-point, overlooking the reactor door. Everyone else was in the circle, I was down on the floor between the reactor and the ladder, and Cerberus just didn't get the memo...dropping soldiers in front of a raging Krogan is a BAD idea. Every freaking trooper that spawned spawned right in that nice tight "arena", and for the next 2 minutes, life was GLORIOUS. "THUDROARTHUDROARTHUDROARTHUDROARTHUDROAR" till the hack was done; team finished the post-hack sweep in about 10 seconds.

Unfortunately it does seem that Vanguards and Krogans are tagged with meleetards that bring nothing.

On my Krogan soldier I have none of the melee perks and focus on being a Carnage artillery barrage and it works very well. Like any game I play with objectives, they are my priority, but I personally think it's a Infiltrators job to revive (hard to get people anyway) and hack the non-static objective terminals, as cloak is far superior to anything else in that regard. I play Infiltrator a lot on Gold and that is my focus.

I've been instantly kicked cause they just saw Krogan, it's rather lame.

1. Don't just carry shotguns and SMGs, Carry a scoped AR like a Vindicator or Mattock for when you have to stay put.

2. Krogan are awesome medics.

3. If you're a Human or Turian soldier or an infiltrator of any race, provide covering fire for the Krogan. The Krogan Sentinel won't last forever and needs some support.

4. Human vanguards are even worse than Krogan sentinels about soloing and playing like idiots.
