If we do get a desire demon, she has to be a lawful good type, preferably cooperatively possessing a mage a'la Justice and Anders, while running a brothel which caters to intelectual and mental pursuits.

This character would also have to be voiced by Jennifer Hale.

If you do not recognize who this character is based off of, you are also a bad person and need to play more old games.

I'm pretty sure they'll cave to the heterosexual agenda and retcon her in DA3.

I don't mind same sex NPCs hitting on my character so long as I have the choice to say yes or no - its hardly game breaking for me - so, there's a surprise, we all have different gameplay experiences! I do think that Anders was only made bi because he was a designated love interest and Bioware deemed that in DA2, all LIs were to be bi but I think that it worked, overall, for his character. He was pretty flirty in Awakening and made suggestive comments to companions of both sexes. The 'bi' thing isn't ideal but its probably the easiest way to deal with LIs if you're going to incorporate same sex romances in a game (which I personally applaud Bioware for doing).

As for who I'd like as a companion/ LI next time...well, I'd add my name to the Cullen fan list as well as Cassandra (although that does give us two warriors who are already known quantities) but then I'd like new people, preferably not all as angsty as the DA2 LIs. If we don't get Cassandra then I'd like an older, preferably female, warrior (kind of like Genevieve in 'The Calling') and maybe a young city elf thief.

Finally, I reckon that Cassandra is a bit of a blank slate as far as romance options go. We know absolutely nothing about what she feels in that department as yet!

David Gaider said Anders can't come back because he could have died in DA2 and they're gonna honor that, since that choice was kind of a big deal.

my companion wishlist:

-an old mentor kind of character (these die off too early to be actually appreciated), maybe an old chevalier, a father with a loving family. seeing him interact with his family and mixing the main character into these scenes would be awesome. let's see....an example of a character similar to this to further explain my point.... ahAH i know just the man, tenzin.

I like that.  I would like to add a fat, lazy cowardly Orlesian mage and a talking darkspawn, similiar to the Architect or the old Tevinter mage from Legacy.  Or a Warden going through the "change."  That would be fun.

There'd be a whole community of people demanding that he be cured and prevented from having to go to his Calling.

Then, when he isn't cured and dies in the sequel, they'd all claim BioWare betrayed them.

As much as I enjoyed Planescape: Torment, I could do without the blatant virgin/**** dichotomy.

Oh good, now I don't have to comment on that.  Though I did find more than I would have liked with Merrill and Isabela.  We can move on now.

A new story IMO,
I enjoyed Leliana and Morrigan as characters.
But I prefer to see new characters, new personalities.
That means they are going to craft those new characters learning from the mistakes where the player gave feedback on.
And I guess the writers will enjoy the idea of using their creativity with more freedom.
Old characters tend to pigeon hole the idea of innovation.

I'm not sure how righteous it would be...

That said, were I to make a request (and I want to be clear that I'm not) it would be to do away with romances, as I think to be done well they need to be a major part of the game, and that's not something Bioware seems interested in.

Isn't it only implied she has a crush on MaleHawke, while she's only interested in FemHawke cause she's a strong woman?

Wouldn't it be nice if there once was a romance in which we would not have to make the first move?

I mean, what about a dark, long-haired, assassin-type of guy who tries to take what he wants no matter what and doesn't take ''no'' for an answer?

Then we would be given the chance to ''succumb'' and enter a ''fight for dominance'' type of relationship or refuse by punching him.

There's a fine line between persistent attempts at wooing and "doesn't take no for an answer." I would rather a potential LI have a few scenes in which (s)he shows interest in the PC, but not have to try and tread that delicate balance between the casual mention and becoming a stalker. (Which isn't to say that I felt any character in the DA games thus far has been the latter.)

Well, to me Anders was like ''I carry a heavy burden so we shouldn't...'' but then he was like ''I can't hold on anymore!!''.

I was more talking about a guy who would be like ''I am confident in my charms and I'm used in getting things my way''.

The clash of willpowers would be interesting in this case, wouldn't it?
