@dazman YESSS. Actullay, I can imagine this happening. He'd be the Legion/Sten/HK47/Shale/Javik/Ketojan (okay not a party member but I stand firm in my belief that making him a party member would have improved DA2 massively.

@Riosred yeah me too, the best character was not even romanceable. Fenris and Anders were...okay, but you can't really compare them to morrigan and alister.

Aveline. Just when you thought you had her personality pinned down, she said or did something to completely surprise you.

Amazing that they could add so many facets to a character that would probably even describe herself as "what you see is what you get." There was so much more to her than what was on the surface.

I think a Qunari Warrior would be nice. If I were Bioware, considering the context of DA3, I'd avoid a Qunari Mage companion since they'd lack true perspective on the conflict, since mages are treated much differently in Seheron and Par Vollen. On the other hand, A Qunari warrior, one who's viewpoint is "above" that of a mage, just might have a truly neutral viewpoint on the Magi-Templar conflict in the rest of Thedas.

The only character I *really* want to see as a companion is Cassandra, the seeker - romanceable or not.

For the "blood mage archetype", while I've enjoyed interacting with Jowan, I don't know... does he always survive in DA:O? I know I always let him live. But for that archetype, I was hoping for a new, Tevinter mage companion - we basically only have Fenris side of the (biased?) story about the current mage situation in Tevinter, so we could learn more about it from such a new character.

Have we ever yet met an evil mage who didn't practice blood magic?

I mean I know we've met blood mages who weren't evil, but that's not the same thing.

Uldred, Danarius, others I can't name without spoilers. Maybe you don't have to be evil to be a blood mage, but if you are evil then blood magic seems to be a pretty popular choice.

I'd be really interested to meet an evil (and I know "evil" is sometimes hard to define, but let's say just downright nasty) mage who is completely against using blood magic for some reason that makes perfect sense to him/her.

I imagine they'd go the 'Defrosting Ice Queen' route with Cassandra. If she's an LI, that'd probably be balanced out by a female LI who's all sweet and moral.

I don't think so. Since blood magic is the fastest way to power as a mage, and relatively easy to use too, it's just the natural path for an evil mage. Also, story-wise, a non-blood evil mage wouldn't be much of a threat or of influence, unless he also had political power - in which case, being a mage wouldn't be of importance.
