I may be wrong, as I so often am, but....

As a side mission, Aria sends you to talk to the leader of the Blue Suns to get them on side, now bear with me...

Didn't you meet the leader of the Blue Suns on Zaeed's loyalty mission in ME2, and in my game he got away because I chose to rescue the civilians, I don't know whether you kill him if you choose the Renegade option.

Is this another story covered in the books, or am I being a little slow on the uptake here?

apparently the blue sons has a never ending supply of leaders of the entire organization, because IIRC you kill like three of them total

I don't think the game actually tells you what happened to Vido if you went paragon on Zaeed's loyalty mission. The leaked script mentioned that Zaeed went hunting for him and saw him get captured by a Reaper Harvester, but I don't recall hearing that line in the game.

I did wonder about that. You'd think that Zaeed would mention something that important to him. He was pretty mad that I chose the workers over his revenge. I figured he'd say something like, "I still haven't found Vido."

Would you look at that, I completely forgot about Vido, that ugly SOB. Yeah, would be nice to know what happened to him.

We may learn more in the likely retake Omega DLC that BioWare no doubt has planned.

You can smell that DLC comming like a Krogan fart in a Mako!

But it would have been nice to have some closure on the Zaeed / Vido / Blue Suns thing.

Bah, it's like any criminal organizations, when the "leader" dies someone else takes the spot eventually, if not immediately after (heck, people within the organization usually seek that very spot even as the leader lives). And Zaeed seems to be alright remaining on his own, not sure if he'd "like to" take Blue Suns' control back, I guess that the organization changed a lot, or too much for his taste ever since he was "removed" from it.

Even if you did kill their leader I'm pretty sure that alone wouldn't single handedly take out a massive merc company who probably have many replacements.

Considering I let him torch Vido, well I have all sorts of closure.

@Rottok you double posted.

As for Vido, even if you save the workers don't you see Zaeed kill the shuttle pilot he is in(hopefully killing Vido from the crash?)

Vido maintains control and escapes.

ME3 doesn't take into account Zaeed's loyalty mission at all, so it was just left out.

I really hope Zaeed features in any future Omega DLC. He had a lot of potential, but neither ME2 or ME3 really took advantage of that.

I noticed that during Mass Effect 2.

Zaeed tells me he started up the Blue Suns, but on Omega they seemed to be dominated by batarians rather than humans during Garrus' recruitment mission.

On Mordin's mission one of the guards specifically says that the Blue Suns are mainly a turian gang.

When we recruit Jack it seems like the Blue Suns are involved in capturing criminal and putting them in Purgatory, the Warden wears Blue Sun armor, but the Blue Suns are criminals themselves so why are they running a prison?

The gangs in Mass Effect lack consistency.

The Blood Pack are lead by vorcha in Mass Effect 3 even though it was specifically started that the only real members are krogan.

There is a bug I think with Zaeed: after his quest I can get only one line from him (that leader of Blue Suns is a SOB). But apparently he has a lot more lines. O_O maybe something about Vido?

Well, no. If you didn't do loyalty missio Zaeed dies.

During the early years of the Blue Suns, they didn't recruit Batarians. Vido, however, saw them as cheap labor, whereas Zaeed saw them as 'goddamn terrorists'. After Zaeed 'left' they were apparently recruited by the hundreds.

Really wish there was a payoff in 3 with Vido. Like having him lead the Suns for Aria and then when you run into Zaeed you can ask if he'd like the Suns back then go with him to Vido and watch Zaeed finally get his revenge. The only reason Vido lives is because Shepard decides rescuing the workers is more important, why not have a reward for paragon players by letting them see Zaeed return to power?
