I was looking at videos because I was absolutley sure I was doing it wrong.  I then read its exactly like doing the gold glitch which I have been doing.  Got two yada yada yada blah blah blah.  Then I read in the coments section that your xbox has to be offline when you do it?  Is this true?  If so how do you turn your xbox offline in the middle of play?

It's a single player game. He isn't hurting anyone by cheating. It's not like you can't use the mods featured on this official site to cheat.

Anyways, I don't know how the trick works on 360. I play on PC.

at any rate the 360 version is incredibly easy, especially compared to the PC version, so he shouldn't have to cheat anyways

What I love most about threads like these is the offal that come in to prance about like flamingos to stroke their own egos. Yeah, he's totally the one that fails in this thread. How about you all take your ****ty little comments and grow up?

get 2 of whatever item your duping (As far as I can tell it doesn't work on runes). Place the item in your junk section of the inventory and sell them both to the merchant. Buy back 1 (or all but 1) of the item and then treat it like the gold cheat. When your duping more than 1 item you can tell if its going to work by if it adds the items on the merchants side and is still asking you if you want to sell them.



I used it to make a very overpowered arcane warrior who could drop everything except the archdemon in 4 hits...



This works really well on tomes, just make sure you dont max out your skills before you hit lvl 25 or you wont be able to level anymore. (Just leave enough empty skills to cover your levels or wait til you get the attribute books and use those.)

Cheating in single player games is even worse than cheating in multiplayer games. The only person you're cheating is yourself.

It's a game, and as you point out, your only cheating yourself. I'm not playing for the challenge, I'm playing because it's fun.

Scenario I have ten of said item.  I sell all from junk buy all but one.  I sell the remaining nine back to send vendor.  Will the vendor show eleven (plus 1) or will it show 19 (9 duplicated plus the original one)?

If your doing this right then when you junk sell and then press sell it will have 10 (1+9) and ask you to sell the 9 (at the same time). After you sell them it will be 19.
