Pretty much this.

Someone at BW stated they wanted the ending to be controversial or something to that effect but I don't think they were ready for this reaction.  I think they were honestly shocked so many fans reacted the way they did.

What made it even worse for me is that I paused right after Anderson died because my wife had just walked in the door and I went over to say hi to her.

Then I unpaused.

I SHOULD HAVE NEVER UNPAUSED.

-As Starchild and ending plays : "What the hell is this?!"
