I know what they tried to do but they pulled it off so badly. I didn't like the style they wished to end it in but I would of accepted it had it not been for the massive continuity issues created during the ending. Overall the ending has soured my experience of Mass Effect in general.

I really couldn't believe they'd done something so horrifyingly and utterly unlike anything I would've expected from the company that made ME1 & 2, DA:O and KOTOR. It failed and felt broken on so many levels.

1. Denial. Right before the credits started to roll I was trying to convince myself that the ending was OK. Then in the middle of the credits is when I realized what had just happened.

(Why did they suddenly switch to rehashing one of the B-plots for the game? What the hell was that ending CGI? I'm sorry, Faunts, I must alt-tab to check The Internet and see where I messed up. I thought I was being pretty completionist, but clearly I screwed up somewhere, or hit some weird optional ending trigger or something.)

(This is the ending? Really? This abrupt jump from the main storyline to this organics vs. synthetics crap? From Bioware? I don't even believe this.)
