ok this is not a dumb question at least i think it isn't but what im asking when you do different playthroughs with different characters do you change the look of any of the other characters? or do you keep the same look for every character that is in a different class?

bit of a random question just wondering if anyone makes a totally different look for each character in a new playthrough :)

This is a really good question. I used to keep most of my characters' appearances mostly the same because there was only one or two faces or hair styles that I liked, but recently I started switching it up to tell them apart. I focus on making the appearance fit the character, and worry less about class or race.

-My city elf has soft, round facial features with pale skin, blue eyes and blonde pigtails to emphasis her rather girlish personality and carefree disposition.

-My elven mage has very (pardon my language) black skin, black eyes, and short kinky black hair with very thin, fine, pointed facial features with large but narrowed eyes to emphasis her sharp wit and vast intelligence. Oh, and a purple wispy tattoo around the right eye to show her affinity for spirit and entropy magic.

-My Dalish also has very thin, fine, pointed facial features, only they point more forward instead of downward to give her face a more animal-like quality. Couple this with the tan skin, short brown hair, and large intense yellow eyes to understand her rather athletic, lone wolf hunter-like personality. She also has the darkest and most complex Vallaslin design (same kind as the Keeper Marethari and Aneirin) to show her love of exploring complex layouts and willingness to endure pain and stand out from her peers.

-My casteless dwarf, by stark contrast, has very round, stout, sturdy facial features. Sickly pale skin, dark brown hair neatly combed down to her chin with several tiny braids throughout, large intense eyes, an auburn brand on the right cheek with a large matching patch-like brand over the same eye, and matching lipstick and eye shadow to go with the colour of her brands. It really brings out her serious, intense, cut-the-bull**** personality and her desire to look respectable despite being considered lower than trash by her community, while paradoxically being proud of her station.

Sorry if it's all long and boring, but hopefully it makes sense. I feel that facial features, hair styles, makeup and tattoo choices can say so much about a character. I think it can help contribute to who they are, what they choose to convey to others, how others perceive them and what that reveals about their inner personalities.
