lol a random character with 3 lines in the entire game has fangirls? Oh wait maybe its just more people trying to **** about any bioware decision. Kal'Reegar was a completely forgettable character and shouldnt be missed (they did drop the ball on Mordin's VA tho)...
He was fairly important, considering that he was going to be escorting more techs around to look at the dark energy problem.
Oh wait. The huge, looming dark energy problem wasn't in ME3, either. Whoops. <_< Yet another plot thread left untended...
Then you have these facts: Kal'Reegar helped save Tali's life, I don't know if that makes him important or not, I'm just a gaming hobbyist... He also appeared more often than Daro'Xen...does that mean she's not major?
Besides, we just hold BioWare to what they told us we'd get, vs. what we actually got. I remember back during the summer, they said Kal'Reegar would be back. Nope.
We can add him to the casualty list that includes Shiala, Parassini, and pretty much every other minor character (besides Conrad) that the fans gave a crap about. They even worked in that Jenna chick from that one random assignment in ME1...surely, surely they could have included a fan favorite like Kal.

And Adam Baldwin rocks, a waste not to use him again.

BioWare ran out of money so they can't hire any more voice actors.
Fear not, they'll make lots of money on their ending dlc... <_<

I'm like, mega sad now. I only learned he died a day or 2 ago. I thought I just missed him.
PS: I'd sacrafice Chobot for Adam Baldwin anyday!

It gets worse. On IMDB Chobot is listed above Keith David, Tricia Helfer, Lance Henriksen, and Martin Sheen. Let me say this again: The "actress" portraying a no-name reporter who has no significance to the plot is listed higher than the talent who voice a squad companion, two of the protagonist's most trusted allies (and mentor figures), and one of the primary antagonists.
Once again, alphabetical order by last name of character. (Allers is before Anderson, EDI, Hackett, and Man).

That's for the major characters. If anything, Allers should be lumped in with Chakwas and Adams under "Additional Voices."Norman250 wrote...

Adam's fairly well known in some circles, but he's hardly a big name actor. Say his name and most people think he's one of the non-Alec Baldwin brothers. I have a hard time believing that he's prohibitively expensive.

...They don't bring back Baldwin.
(That's two of my three favorite characters introduced in ME2 right there.)
...But they DO create Diana Allers.

I remember talking to Henriksen and how excited he was about Hackett; I can believe Baldwin legit liked playing Reegar.
Seriously though, that suuuuuuuuuuucks.

I find this hard to believe. The part about him not knowing what they did to his character. This is adam baldwin we are talking about, you just dont forget to contact him about coming back or not.
they can still do a DLC to fix this.
Let's be realistic here, what are the odds of something like this happening?
BW already have the water way above their heads to bother with Reegar right now or in the near future.

I met Adam Baldwin, got his autograph, shook his hand, talked with him for a bit. I mentioned that I really enjoyed the character he voiced for Mass Effect 2, and I regretted my sadness that he wasn't in the third. He replied, "Yeah, I know. I don't really know what happened, they just never contacted me about the third game. Hopefully I'll be in some DLC or in the fourth game, if they make one." I didn't have the heart to tell him that they killed Kal'Reegar.
This is so sad.
And he seems like such a nice guy... to just kill of his character without bothering to tell him. Geesh.
