She's in one of the store rooms, before the final section where you find the demon/ arl/ wife if I recall.

Not to hard to find, just work your way back to the prison.

Or she could be dead?

IIRC you have to talk to her before you finish the castle (i.e. rescue or kill Connor).

You shouldn't have a problem with re-entering village. It isn't locked out so there is no reason to blame game design for something which looks to me like a problem with your game.

rofl - no I'm too blind to see the path down! My mistake - I've been overly critical of the game, because it's not what I'm used to.
