Failed Pack Purchases may not be what they seem.

 I posted a short explanation already in the thread about loss of credits with failed purchases. But decided to copy it here to get everyone's attention to check if what i am seeing right now complies to their experience.

I just did a little test, didn't write everything down but did a preliminary failed purchase experiment.

I checked the amounts of standard equipment packs, MedGels, Rockets, Ops, and Ammo. 32,36,74,154 consecutively.
After I completed a failed purchase I rebooted the game knowing full well that my credits would be gone but I went into my equipment pack to check for any changes. Even tho I received no report of what i purchased, the amounts have changed, I had 5 rockets more which leads me to believe the pack is purchased but leaves you wondering and guessing what you have received.

I will on my next purchase do a complete inventory record to confirm if during a failed purchases the only failure is with the pack display and not the actual purchase. For now I can confirm equipment is added to the inventory, whether the same is true of weapon upgrades or character cards remains to be seen. 

EDIT: Just noticed, before a failed purchase I had promoted 3 classes, one of which was Vanguard, all clean lvl1, as I went to change a character I noticed that the Vanguard was lvl5, this can only be due to the 'failed purchase' pack.

I guess, the problem is not that we lose credits as we do not, but rather that the game fails to show us what we have received in our pack.

have you actually checked .. coz so far every time thereafter i did receive my items.. that's 3 other purchases. people are to lazy to close game, open a new and actually make a list of changes in their inventory.

it's easier to just go and howl at the staff isn't it? i know i was about to get pissed off and yell at the tech staff, but i like to be sure about things first. I can only check my account, but i fail to see why would i have the same problem yet receive my goods while everyone else doesn't?

I've lost 2 Spectre packs, and I have no new rare weapons, and the ones I had previously did not gain a rank. While it may be the case that equipment/player cards are still redeemed, weapon cards are not.

true, but you can't dismiss on account of 2 packs that weapons cards are not redeemed, i do not get a weapon card in every pack, with my luck i would get 3 character cards more frequently then a weapon one.. This still needs to be confirmed, tho, I am inclined to believe if character and all equipment cards are redeemable through a failed purchase then there is no reason to believe that weapons would not be. My 2 packs went through normally today..

This is completely random. I've recieved the items maybe 3 times out of 15 failed spectre purchases

I can confirm that you do get weapon cards, only reason i know this is that after a failed purchase, the gunsmith achievement popped up for me. And that can only mean i got something upgraded. And yes, not getting wep upgrades doesn't mean it completely failed, cuz i got char cards 7 times in a row once (so much for that gold farm run)

I can confirm that after a failed purchase you actually are getting your items. Checked 4 times - every time i got items. 1 more reason ppl dont see a change in their inventory is that if you get a weapon upgrade you cant really tell coz me for example i never look at if i have pistol barrel 2 or 3, ive put it on the gun and i forget about it, so chill with the flaming alrdy, you get your items, its a bit of annoyance that you dont know what you actually got , but youll live with it.

Agreed.. I just had another spectre pack purchase failure, checked all my weapons and received a revenant 9 upgrade. weapons do go through as well.

ever since i started checking on the failed purchases every time thus far i have received my packs.

Tech staff working on this should really take a look at this as they may be trying to fix a wholly functional bit of code i heard they claim it's a buggy script which handles refunds, if that's where they are looking for the fix it may be a long while before they pay attention to a different possibility, which has nothing to do with the issue.

I would bet it's simply a string which fails to load your pack for viewing somewhere that's gonne buggy and thus until restart nothing gets updated. Hence their refund has nothing to refund as the credits and purchase has gone through.
