I don't think it's an April Fool's prank, but actually, the article is quoting CaptainDope who is quoting Lance Henriksen. If it had a direct quote from Henriksen, rather than relayed through someone else, I'd be more convinced.

Also, I could read a direct quote from him in my head in that amazing voice of his 8)

To Bioware everything that can bring them more money is amazing. I will not get my hopes up until I see a dlc that addressees the ending in a good way. I would call that amazing.
