if they replace the character cards with medi gel etc then the weopon odds stay the same....

Today from 5 premium spectre packs i got 2 gold weapons, rest character cards, this rng is a joke.
I still dont have a single gold gun to lvl X so i got plenty of cards in the pool still.

Character cards only get in the way of unlocking weapons after you have played the game for a week.

I especially hate saving up 99,000 credits, and getting TWO cards in the pack. One for a class I never play, and the other for one that's maxed out and lvl 20 again... just makes me sick to my stomache and disappointed.

Was just thinking, this issue started quite recently, to be more precise, after Operation Raptor when Bioware announed Operation Beach-head. Remember, they mentioned something like it requires the galaxy's best most highly trained operatives to complete. So this possibly hints at something gold related and therefore you need characters at level 17+ or so to successfully complete a gold challenge run. So, maybe that's why we're all getting character cards to boost our character levels, only way this makes sense right?

I think of it more along the lines of the character cards being a high percentage chance filler to gate our progress with weapon upgrades, to keep us playing longer and/or improve the chances of us spending real money on the packs.

It may have been, but this idea has really evolved, sorry but I'm updating that first post daily to incorporate some of the great ideas coming in, and even that line you quoted isn't so clear cut, simply put, character cards are useless compared to much needed items or weapons, once we have maxed appearances and even levels, there is no reason we should continue getting them. It's really a drag.

Sadly, I see this as a way of dragging out the game while they let time pass to release DLC content with new packs, items etc. Especially after seeing a post of various new packs such as Cerberus, Reaper, and Geth Packs and even an N7 pack. By trickling little things like new packs here and there they're artificially extending the life of the game, and this mockery of character cards is the first drop in that artifical extension of MP's longevity. It's really sad because it's actually back-firing and turning a lot of people off the game completely.

I don't know what you guys are expecting to get instead of character cards. If it's a medi-gel or something small like that then why bother? If you think every pack should contain N7 guns instead of characters then you should get real.

medi gel, missiles are more usefull than useless char cards..

You are supposed to spend your real money on BioWare Points and buy Spectre Packs until you get all N7 weapons and/or run out of money.

Character cards need to be replaced. If you have all blue, silver and gold weapons to lvl x do I think it should automatically give you ultra rares... YES. Yes I do. If you have spent long enough on MP to get everything to lvl x then tbh it's a bit f*****g coarse to troll extremely dedicated players with drell and krogan cards.
