I probably already signed it, but agree. More useful things replacing the training cards, but keeping the ultra rares, well, rares..

I don't use my n7 level to represent skill. I just take the lead in the amount of points I get in your match.

Agreed. I'm all for a weapon purchase system, even if it is on an incredibly expensive scale in terms of credits.
Some might argue that this detracts from the longevity of a game and replay value, since it would be easier to "max out", and make it boring. However, the point of whether players will quit sooner out of anger/frustration or boredom is to be determined.

Someone may have said it already, but it would be nice to have a dedicated pack for character cards. I mean, they are good for XP boosts (especially after promoting), but little else after everything for that character's appearance is unlocked. And I certainly don't enjoy accumulating the points necessary for a Premium Spectre Pack and receiving a few consumables and otherwise useless cards for already-maxed classes.

Here's an idea: if Bioware thinks the current packs are so popular, why not put up for a week packs (recruit / vet / spec) which don't have character cards.
They can see how many of each are sold, and which truely is more popular.
As these temporary character-less packs have "less", just make them the same price <_<

I can't believe this is still going on, some people just don't realize how the packs work.
You buy a spectre pack, in the description you have some flavor text and then you have "...contains a rare card..." that's done forcing at least one card from the rare pool while the rest is random, well, somewhat random, one of the other cards is always an equipment card, not sure if the rest are on a same "pick one from this pool only", when you get 3 respec cards and cap all the rare weapons and character cards here is what happens, you still are guaranteed a rare card but you can't get more respec or weapon cards so the only option left are character cards, in other words, once you max out respecs and rare weapons you guarantee you'll get character cards, that's why they gave the cards XP too, so it wasn't entirely useless.
If you remove character cards from packs when you have all appearance options unlocked what will you get instead of it from the rare cards pool? they could make new rare equipment cards but those cap too, so again, when you cap those what then? the character cards, while not optimal is a decent way of giving you what the pack is there for, a guaranteed rare, but that doesn't mean it's going to be 100% useful to you.

The problem is they seemed to model the common/uncommon/rare packs on trading card games, but they don't let us actually trade cards.
It works in say Magic, because you have a rare I want, and visa versa. We "trade" and you have your Widow while I get say a Claymore. As is we both get cards we don't want, or default back to character cards.
IMO its a poor implementation.

I wish I got character cards more often... I keep getting rare weapons... After I get rare weapons to x I expect to start getting character cards more often though... But I'm hoping for 1 ultra rare and 1 character card in every psp I buy

Yet another "feature" that should've been included from launch.

I just spent over 1.5M credits and STILL do not have a Saber. I got character cards out the ying-yang and upgrades to weapons I will never use. I now have about 40 missiles which I will put to good use. How about a "Super Spectre Pack" for 1M credits, and you'll be guaranteed to get some ultra rare weapon? It won't be cheap but you WILL get rewarded.

I'd rather get a weapon mod or consumables than a (rare) character card for a char I've already maxed out.

Like make a new type of equipment that is rare or something.

Once you hit 5/5 of that character type, you shouldn't ever come across it again. So +1.

i don't think you get this option happen till the games dead and then everything will be easy to obtain in 2 weeks easyly. There solution to the problem was to up the xp on the cards to incourage people to promote I'm guessing.

One should only get a character card if:
1) not all the appearance options are unlocked
AND/OR
2) that class has not hit 20 yet.
Otherwise, equipment please. I get you still want ultra-rares to be just that, Bioware, but I DO NOT NEED ANOTHER QUARIAN INFILTRATOR.
That doesn't automatically equal skill. In fact it could easily equal 'death or glory' approaches that means other people have to res you - the kind one sees in Bronze and (to a SOMEWHAT lesser degree) Silver.

How many characters do they want promoted? Even so I can level up any class I have to 20 in two days easy. I don't need no damn cards. After you max a class their is just no point to character cards. We can't get weapons we either earn or pay for, but we can get totally worthless cards in their place.

I don't want to be handed UR's on a silver platter or anything, I just don't want to spend credits/money on "empty draws". I'd rather get something from it. In a trading card game when you get duplicates of something you can trade those cards away or if nothing else, you actually have a physical copy of it. When you get duplicate of a maxed out character at max level the whole thing evaporates. You just spent credits/money on nothing. I'm slightly skeptical to the legality of it.
