CHARACTER CARD PETITION

I have maxed rare weapons and all chars to level 20 with all their appearance options as it stands it takes over 5 Million to get 1 Ultra Rare, I just got burned out after literally weeks of game play to try and get 1 Ultra rare while I got hundreds of character cards I could not use. Days of game play with no reward is too painful.
The Fix is simple make rare equipment cards that hold 10 instead of 5 item. That way we at least get something rare from a spec or PS packs that we can use and once in a while we get an Ultra Rare.

I don't want to be handed UR's on a silver platter or anything, I just don't want to spend credits/money on "empty draws". I'd rather get something from it. In a trading card game when you get duplicates of something you can trade those cards away or if nothing else, you actually have a physical copy of it. When you get duplicate of a maxed out character at max level the whole thing evaporates. You just spent credits/money on nothing. I'm slightly skeptical to the legality of it.
Same here. When you're maxed out, you literally get nothing in that card slot. Like you said, it's different from trading cards, because with those you get a physical card no matter what. Sure, you might get a card worth 10 cents that you already have 50 copies of, but you still get the card. This is substantially different from literally not getting anything for your money/credits.
Just seems very shady to me. When you're at the point where all you have left to get is Ultra Rares, then you're paying for the chance at getting the Ultra Rare. You put your money in, and you either get the Ultra Rare (unlikely) or you get nothing, and lose your money in the process. I really do not understand how this isn't a lottery.

They don't respond because they don't want to tell you that these character cards is how they get money out of people.

Notice how these threads rarely if it all get addressed? It wouldn't be a sound business decision to make character cards appear less.
LOL, and you know this how?

Something needs to change. To get so many character cards and so few good gun upgrades is ridiculous.

Is this actually true?
Currently, there is no point to spending money except when your just starting out bc your highly likely to get stuff you can't use.
If they fixed the store so it always gave you something you didn't have....people would be more like to spend money I think. as
If you always get something you don't have(by slot)
1)You get the benefits of a random system
2)Even if you don't get what you want, you get forward progress toward what you want by eliminting what you don't want.
3)This also solves problems with people not getting a specific thing(like a certain charachter)...you will get it eventually.
Anyway, becasue you always get SOMETHING you don't have, I think people would be much MORE likely to spend money. Right now, there really isn't any ponit to spending money once a decent amount of stuff is unlocked.

I am only a N7 67 but I can hold my own. I plan to save as much as I can (barring equipment packs) until something changes with the pack buying system.
I suggest a "Deals of the week" that would allow you to buy 2 or 3 individual items a week. To purchase higher items would be based on our N7 rating. But still offer a level of individual purchase for everybody.
This way EA/BioWare can keep thier pack system
The longgevity of this game is going to go down the toilet if they don't change something. players will just stop playing after they get tired of 20 hours of MP play time turning into 3 or 4 NEW items for their collection. A better lobby system and more game types or objectives is also needed. To much blah W/G/G going on, but that is a complete other topic.
Love the game, don't lose me EA. You already lost me from Madden.
EDIT - just had an idea, if they don't want to change the store system - how about a buy back system to allow players to sell back their unwanted junk for credits. Would you be satisfied if you could sell your entire pack back to the store for say....25% of what you spent? Even that is better than nothing.

I can understand Why Repeat cards are there, for those players who sit and promote their class's all day long the cards are a godsend.
But for the rest of us they are a frustrating annoyance.
At this point a system that stops the repeat cards appearing once all options are unlocked and the class is at 20 would work for both groups, the players who don't promote that often don't have to put up with the cards and the ones who do promote can still get them in order to level their class up faster.

To be honest I have no idea what Biowares MP Dev team were thinking when they came up with the "Store" system, its a frustrating system for the player at the best of times.

I don't believe BioWare had anything to do with the store system. It's EA's creation. Their sports games have similar card packs that you can buy. However, BioWare IS complicit with the system based on the fact that's it's their game.
Any store decisions will be based on EA's assessment of what will provide the most revenue. Their assessment may or may not be correct.
I can totally picture EA thinking the existing store system is great. I can also imagine them being way off in their calculation that it's the most profitable system. Wouldn't be the first poor business decision they made.
