I personally don't mind character cards. They help me increase my N7 Rating far faster than they used to. In my opinion, there is no reason to leave characters at level 20. Just promote them and buy a premium spectre pack and move on. If you get an N7 weapon, then great, if not, oh well, quit your whining.

You realise of course that adopting this method you end up having to spend more time playing characters in Bronze and earning a fraction of the credits which in turn makes the process of unlocking weapons that much slower.  I've tried this way and while you do indeed get some benefit from the experience points on the Character Cards you eventually get sick of receiving the same pathetically low chance of an N7/gear/character you still need but at a significantly reduced rate.  And, while N7 rating continues to be nothing but a number I find little point in building it up anyway.

I can see they've ignored this thread for three months now, but two things that I have heard since childhood come to mind: "The last thing a human ever loses is hope." and "Ignoring a problem doesn't make it go away.". And so, with these quotes in mind... BUMP / AGREE / +1 / etc.

Agree. Just hit the gold X wall a couple days ago myself, finally I see what the big deal is all about.

Did anybody play SWTOR? The PvP reward system there is strikingly similar; grind out a bunch of frustrating matches, finally save up enough to buy a pack that has a chance of containing a piece of gear, open it up to find that it contains nothing. Congratulations, your reward for a week of treadmill grinding is literally nothing.

I never played SWTOR (I don't play PvP games), but that is the feeling the whole comunity has been having for months now. Even with the gear equipment that was added, I STILL get only character cards for days at a time. Not to mention I don't have all the Ultra Rares yet and the higest lv among the ones I do have is III... depressing.

The least they could do is give me the customization options for my Phoenix Characters if they're SO hell-bent on giving me character cards exclussively... Oh and, in case anyone is wondering how long I've had to simmer in this rut, I've been playing the game sine the midnight release... *sigh*

It's been longer then I care to remember.... I think 3 weeks now or something like that, since I've had a weapon in a Premium Character Pack. I've lost track, it's been so long.

As one of the few people on this forum with maxed out guns, there are others, Character Cards were stupid in the Demo and there stupid now. My honest opinion is that no one should suffer while still getting there URs and other equipment. They should have put more Gear and Consumables in the packs when Characters are maxed in appearence and level. Instead they just keep giving you useless cards. It boggles the mind.

Just a suggestion, on PSP, where it says guarentees 2 Rares, after you get all Rares at X, and the appearance options for Characters, it said guarenteed level III gear (Not the gear from rebellion), with a chance for URs.

Anyone?

A lot of people suggeted this before the first DLC ever came out, a lot of people would agree with you.

I'd be happy with ANYTHING other than a character card for a lvl 20, with all appearances.

Would just prefer the removal or Heavily decreased chances of getting a character card once you
get all the way down to skin tone.

Better yet, make character packs. Some equipment and always at least 1 character card.
from there, remove character cards from premium spectres

The truth is I went two months without getting anything but character cards, but they decided to give me a Javelin last week so I reset my counter, so to speak lol!

I agree somewhat, only because it beats getting a "guaranteed equipment" slot that ends up giving us useless lv 1 equipment (like the Jumbo Equipment Packs do when you have a quickslot consumable maxed out), but truthfully, I wouldn't pay 99k credits for Disruptor Rounds III that will only prevent me from detonating my biotics and end up getting me killed. I do understand our available "compromises" are not abundant, so I'd be content and keep piling ammo up for the winter while I wait to unlock Ultra Rares that are too heavy for an Adept to use hahaha!

I totally agree. It's really frustrating when you spend so much time earning credits only to see them wasted with character cards you don't need.
Character cards should not appear for characters that are maxed out and have all customization unlocked.
To offer a suggestion though, there should be more incentive in promoting characters. If promoting a class gave you 30,000 credits then the character cards would be given new purpose and wouldn't cause everyone to sear and spit every time they appeared.

So this has probably been brought up long before, but what happens if you get all the weapons, characters, weapon mods, and gear maxed along with 255 in every consumable [and anything else I forgot]? What do the packs give you then?

They should increase the chance of getting ultra rares for players that maxed out everything by 50%. I for one only get character cards in my Psp and never any ultra rares. All the ultra rares I received were from regular specter packs the irony...

I don't have all my weapons up to 10 yet like some of you loons, but I know for a fact that I'd like to maybe not get character cards that I have all the options for with the class already sitting at 20.

You get nothing but Char cards, but Gear is not in a gauranteed slot so even if you have everything else maxed Gear are just as hard to get as URs.

I need Uncommon Gears, but it won't let me have them.
