about ready to quit this game if they cant fix this crap. I do not have an asari adept but my level 20 asari vanguard got three 50,000k XP and its friggin' maxed. She has nothing else to add so stop wasting my hard earned credits dammit

I know they are trying to either get people to spend real money on packs OR prolong the life of the game. But these character cards are a crappy way to do both.

It's the same reason McDonalds is still in service. Bad food, bad service, etc - but people still flock there by the thousands! They can get away with bad quality because there will always be people to purchase it

Opened 10 spectre packs today.  6 quarian engineers, 1 drell vangaurd, 3 geth shotgun upgrades I will never use...

The whole "random" system period is asinine. Rather than being able to work toward something I want, I'm stuck constantly getting items I don't want, and will likely never use. The game needs a more traditional "unlock" system found in other shooters, or a store that allows you to pick what weapons/upgrades you want to buy with the XP you've accrued.

The "equipment" system is also terrible. I should be able to spec into different ammo types, rather than having to buy packs from the store which only last one round. Too often one ends up in a terrible group that bombs, you get disconnected, etc., rendering an "ammo power" wasted.

Seriously, does Bioware even play their own game? Because this stuff should be obvious.

Totally agree with getting equipment (any kind of it) instead of maxed char cards.

Maybe an alternative would be introducing just an experience card that can be used like the respec cards when you decide to promote a character. That would save the annoyance of having to play on lower difficulty as most people would kick your lvl 1 character from a gold game.

Also maybe introduce some meaningful reward for promoting characters to keep people interested. (i.e. you get 10 bioware points per character promotion (amount can be tweaked)). 

This could allow devoted players to actually unlock DLC without paying by being really active, or to get even more packs if they desire. Or whatever they like.

Or could be a system where based on N7 rating you get for example the ability to purchase selected wepons rather than opening them at random. (i.e. You reach 500 N7 rating you can purchase uncommons, 1000 N7 rating - rares, 2000 N7 rating - ultra rares, 5000+ rating, N7 equpment)

Just spent 500K creds on packs. Got nothing but female human engineer and female human infiltrator. Both were maxed before I bought the packs. This is unacceptable.

I made a thread exactly like this a while ago, but it didn't really take. Do I need to write in all caps?  I agree of course. Hopefully they change it in the big patch.

If you get a character card and you have maxed out every character (including appearances) you should get a random equipment item instead.

Signed, although in my case, I'm struggling to get Character Cards. The only Gold character I've unlocked so far is the Quarian Engineer (twice!), but none of the others have showed up so far. Still, I'm thinking long-term here. Plus, it is really annoying to keep on getting stuff like Drell Adepts or Salarian Engineers when I've already unlocked all options for them.
