To damn bad just like players who can't read stickies; BioWare's MP development team will utterly ignore this thread.

Should have done this before stopping Respec Cards. At least Respec cards can be used to gain an advantage against particularly foes if they are known in advance.

consumables of some kind in its place would work ok.

You should be a little more specific. Character cards *are* consumables. Each time you get one, it is consumed and you gain experience.
I'd be pretty ok with that though, sometimes it's difficult to pull enough rocket launchers to keep a stockpile up for gold public group runs.

Totally agree.
As I mentioned elsewhere:
I have to say that the amount of repeat character cards you are generally given is stupid. So you get additional XP with them. But that's pointless. I don't need to waste pack items on something I can achieve from just playing the game. As it is, the appearance customisations could be handed out via the levelling up process anyway. And once you've unlocked a character, never give out that character to the player again.
Is that so difficult, BioWare?

The idea of linking rate of ultra-rare drops with N7 is an elegant solution to two problems.

Hey guys, gonna keep this short and sweet. As many of you in the forums have noticed and complained, the current system of packs is terribly broken. I'm sure there are people out there who have spent far more, but using a personal example from the last little while of grinding I saved up 2.2 million credits and spent it all yesterday.
To the people who don't know what they're talking about, all my characters are level 20 with all appearance options unlocked. Also every-non N7 (aka Black, Ultra rare) weapon is at level 10 (X).
Out of that entire 2.2million I did not get a single N7 weapon, nothing but character training cards....This frankly is ridiculous considering the amount of time spent grinding has led to 0 rewards....
Just like we did for the ending of the game, I would like to rally players to force bioware and EA to fix this terrible system. Afterall you're making products for the fans right?
So in short: IF YOU AGREE THAT CHARACTER CARD APPEARANCE SHOULD BE DRASTICALLY REDUCED OR ELIMINATED WHEN YOU HAVE UPGRADED EVERYTHING FOR THEM ALREADY PLEASE SIMPLE PUT AGREE IN A RESPONSE. FEEL FREE TO INCLUDE COMMENTARY IF YOU WISH THOUGH.
Thanks for reading and I look forward to the response from the community.
EDIT: To alleviate some of the confusion I've seen, when I say N7 I mean the ultra guns such as Saber, Black Widow, Scorpion etc, that when you receive in packs, rather than being blue. silver or gold are black with an N7 Ribbon across them.
EDIT 2:wilzoon wrote...
As long as It does NOT increase the chance of unlocking the black/ultra rare weapons. I am okay with that.
Agreed with this, I'm not asking for free handouts of N7 weapons, simply that I stop getting useless garbage, as some have suggested, make it so we getting a good amount of equipment such as another+5 missiles or gels, while keeping the drop rate for N7's at whatever it is (although it really seems after you max all rare gun that this percentage actually drops...) so ideally we should be getting a higher chance of N7 Weapons once everything else is maxed, however, the main point is stop giving us useless character cards.
EDIT 3 : Hilarious and sad... I had a friend who has been saving his credits while I was spending them all this time, saved about 3mil. He bought the new "premium spectre packs" with all of it....guess what his higher chance of rares....gave nothing but character cards! So I guess the higher chance went from 1% or less to 1.1% or less~
EDIT 4:ExecutorBG wrote...
Totally agree with getting equipment (any kind of it) instead of maxed char cards.
Also
maybe introduce some meaningful reward for promoting characters to keep
people interested.
Or
could be a system where based on N7 rating you get for example the
ability to purchase selected wepons rather than opening them at random.
(i.e. You reach 500 N7 rating you can purchase uncommons, 1000 N7 rating
- rares, 2000 N7 rating - ultra rares, 5000+ rating, N7 equpment)
Someone give this man an internet. Brilliant idea that actually solves two problems, terrible pack contents and pointless promotions! It can be tweaked a bit, but can you imagine, actually being rewarded with things you want because you are dedicated/ played a lot/ earned it? I love this idea that you're N7 rating can influence odds of getting equipment. Awesome idea ExecutorBG, I had to put it here on the front page.
You are so very much preaching to what I believe to be a big choir. I don't think the rares and N7 drops are random at all, because if they were, I wouldn't have all shotguns at or near mk 10, and still not have N7 of anything else. I just got my first N7 in the Commendation pack for Op Raptor...and of course it is the Crusader shotgun, which weighs more than a busload of Krogans on the way to a hotdog eating contest. I've got nothing else N7, and all my character classes all start at level 5 or higher.
Now, my buddy, with an N7 rating of around 200, has a Sabre, a Scorpion, an M-358....
It's **not** random. Somehow it's attached to your account as to what you get from boxes.

Lmao!! I got my first N7 weapon for Operation: Goliath. The N7 Valiant. Yep a sniper rifle that I never use or intend to. But hey, my Infiltraitor class is at lvl 18 from all the cards I have got and I have only played that class one time for 4 rounds.
