Has anyone seen an in-game sword model that actually looked like the DA promotional giveaway?

The same sword model is used for the CE cover, too.

Strikes me as odd that this trademark sword apparently isn't in the game...

I didn't see anything that looked like it in my play-through, but I'm not surprised given that very few of the weapons in the game look unique or special. Don't get me wrong: I'm a superfan, already, but I think that future patches or DLC could improve the game experience dramatically by adding more weapon and armor models (especially light armor and robes, as I felt the choices available were either too similar or uninspired. . . has anyone actually worn the leather and cloth headgear? One leather helmet has an opening between two flaps that exposes the empty space where your hair would be if the helmet weren't on, and don't get me started on the cloth 'cowls' and 'hoods'. . . ).

I agree that a bit more variety would be nice. There are quite a few nice weapon models that are wasted on weapons that are so bad no one would ever want to use them (darkspawn weapons) or just worse than the plain looking uniques (saw sword). For some reason axes and blunt weapons are vastly inferior to swords, the only decent dmg axe I have seen so far was the vashalla, which for some odd reason does more dmg than a same tier sword despite having lower stats, so might be a bug. Light and medium armor are lacking decent sets (can only think of a single medium set, ancient elven, and that one isn't even complete on the PC, no boots to be found, not sure re gloves). There are no mage sets at all. I would really like gloves and boots to show for mages, too, as is now only the chest item shows. Looks to me like someone ran out of time there.
