Gifts:  So which should I keep and which should I sell?  I read somewhere that Sten likes framed pictures and I gave Morigan the black grimoire but everything else seems to be hit or miss, mostly miss...  Is there any rhyme or reason for what part members like?  I haven't found any obvious information on forums or wiki after a quick seach and gifts are now taking up 25% of my inventory with no indications yet from party members what they'd like... what gives?

Crystals:  Another 5-10% of my backpack is now various elementally aligned flawed or perfect crystals.  I'm guessing these are for enhancing the golem I'll get to join my party if I do the add-on quest that I can't think of the name for right now.  Was kinda planning to stick with Alistair, dog, and Morigan for fist play through so should I just sell these?

Money:  Where is it?  I'm a relentless hoarder.  I will even go so far as to abandon a quest midway through to return to town to sell my crap just so that I don't miss out on a single copper of cash.  However, I'm ~25% through the game (haven't done DLCs) and I only have 25 gold on me.  Considering a single grenade recipe costs 3-7 gold 25 gold seems like a pittance.  Not to mention I've seen weapons and armor for sale for 100+ gold!!!!  Does it start raining gold at end game or is there just no way to buy a significant number of uber weapons or skill/stat/talent tomes?

That is all for now.  Thanks for any advice you offer.

Sorry for the lazy link, not familiar with these forums. This website will give you all the info you need on gifts and who to give which gift to.

Crystals: If you have the Warden's Keep DLC then just store them. Who knows when you'll feel the need to use Shale.

Money: Sorry no advice as I am in the same boat as you are. I also have a bad habit of storing a lot of my equipment and not selling it, although I am getting better at this.

Gifts: Your search-fu sucks. But lucky you, one of the companions is a major spoiler. Read at your own risk.

Generally, you don't need to worry too much about approval, common sense during conversations nets you an easy 100, and you gain hints in character journal entries in terms of what each character likes when you get their approval up the first mark. Morrigan/Allistair are really easy to get approval for, so don't worry too much about it.

Crystals: If you are not using shale, give it a pair of crystals so it has some basic equipment for sake of having basic equipment and sell off the rest.

Money: Loot compulsively, lockpick compulsively, unlock chests compulsively, sell compulsively. There is roughly 800 gold to be collected in this game, give or take depending on you luck and quest related decisions. Early on, due to purchasing recipes and tomes, you will feel a sting in terms of gold, but it picks up once you are done with purchasing the basics.

Just buying the talent and skill tomes sets you back by over a 100 gold, for example. Recipes can add up to another easy 100.

1. Gift guide: http://social.biowar...47/index/168918

2. Put your best set of crystals on Shale and sell the rest. For that matter, keep all your party members decently equipped, even if you don't plan on using them.

3. "Does it start raining gold at end game" Basically. Some places, like areas for the Urn of Sacred Ashes and the Deep Roads are big money makers. And as you get higher in level, the junk leveled loot becomes a lot more valuable to sell. My first playthrough I finished with 150 gold after spending close to 400 gold. Not enough to buy more than 1 or 2 of those uber items, but I think I prefer it that way.

Jamfan's gift link is the best, the spoiler is well avoided.

And don't worry about equipping companions you don't want to use with the good stuff, just sell it off. Honestly, the reason most people suggest the equipping is really unneccessary,  the unwanted companions are forced into certain battles at some points in the game, but your opponents in those places are so ridiculously overnerfed the companions can do those parts naked with level 1 weapons.
