Yeah, I did find that just now, but thanks though. I wonder what they use to move it across the sky. I'm away for the weekend so I'll have to look at it when I get back.

@ Reider. In Fallout, you can select every asset in the game when in dedug mode just by left clicking it.

imo that's hardcoded.

In my playing with moon assets from a while ago, you can override the texture but changing the movement is not possible due to engine constraints. You can override the skydome, but then you lose the dynamic sky changes.
I'd love for someone to figure out custom sun/moon stuff as I'd like to use it for Ultima based applications. Two moons, instead of the Dragonlance 3...even though the 3rd moon isn't visable to everyone...

Theres the moon.mdb as well but I get an invalid header error on import. I don't know enough about those to figure that one out. I do have an idea for the Krynn Moons that I will try tomorrow. It will at least give the impression. I'll let you know how I make out.

I did some Xak Tsaroth work today and threw up a few screens. No luck with the moons.

Does anyone know the standard script for walking a PC to a waypoint during a conversation? I have tried using the ga_move with oPC as the tag with no luck. This has to be simple.

ga_move("wp_tag", 0, "$PC_SPEAKER")
i had this on a PC-node, but should work on owner's node too

Thanks a lot folks. I did a search, but I never have much luck with the forum search on BWS. I'll give it a go today.

I remember the old Krynn gold box game used to show the condition of the moons on the overland map. It wouldn't be quite the same as having real moons, but some type of in-game moon status display would be useful. The NWN2 overland map could use some type of time indicator anyway, like the one they had in Baldur's Gate. So perhaps a configurable Sun/Moons panel with a nice border...

That's a good idea. It would be the perfect solution for a fixed camera level, like an overland map. I've been working a lot on quests lately, so I haven't done much in the way of assets... Except a jobs posting board.

I come from NWN1 and I'm involved in creating a PW-Dragonlance setting there and I want to say: This Solace build looks so beautifull! You did a fantastic job! Hopefully, I'll be able to take a walk myself someday!

Ok, so my family and I finally got moved into our new home. I didnt even hook up my computer for the first few weeks. Unfortunately, shortly after I did, my HDD fried. I lost it all. I had a back up saved in another folder and was preparing to move it to my server for a more secure backup. So... I am at a bit of a crossroads. Do I restart the whole thing? Do I move on to something else? I'm not sure. I wont be deciding for 2 more weeks yet as I have a vacation coming up. We shall see.

I am doing a recovery on that HDD right now. Keep your digits crossed.

I've had a few computers bite the dust over the years, and so far all of the harddrives came through unscathed. In all cases it seems that something in the motherboard fried before the harddrive did. An external harddrive docking station has proven quite useful for recovering data - and all those extra harddrives laying around essentially become backup storage media.
Here's hoping your luck is a good as mine (although technically if I was *really* lucky, those computers wouldn't have died without warning to begin with).

I am happy to report that I recovered the files tonight. It will take me a few weeks to reconstruct the server with a vacation thrown in the middle.

If you have been reading the blog, you'll know that I lost my files so I am starting again. I am curently working through the Creek System since a lot of folks seem to be interested in getting that. Has anyone been able to use an environmental/reflection map in NWN2?

That's really hard luck, mate. You have my sympathies.
I know it's a little late for this, but I've learned to keep a backup archive of my work on a flash drive. It's easy to carry around and you always have a copy in case your PC is destroyed or stolen. I always take it with me whenever I leave home.

Thanks for that info. That might be a good way to go. I started using my pro dropbox account and it seems to be a good fit for now.

On environment maps I did find this disappointing nugget: This is a holdover from NWN that refers to the environment map applied to the texture’s alpha channel. In NWN, a blank entry (****) allowed parts of the creature to be transparent where the alpha channel of the corresponding area in the texture was black. “Default” was for creatures with some reflective surfaces such as on their armor. An iridescent rainbow hue effect was applied on creatures with “evmap_irrid” set in this column. ENVMAP is obsolete in NWN2 and may be left blank (****) or set to “default” (without the quotes).
