and what should always be defined in the sacred halls of the internet as the ultimate video game incarnation of 'butter face'.

i mean really, i know a lot of faces just don't translate well to games (aka Miranda), but man, space snookie was just... horrifying.

another one of the reasons why i feel horrible for her predicament.

I doubt it's sincere anyway, more like some PR person saw her post, screamed "WHAT THEY HELL ARE YOU THINKING!?" and made her quickly type up a retraction.

You know what folks. You're 100% right. I shouldn't have mentioned anything about my feelings about "entitled gamers" when it comes to the ME3 ending (and my work in progress with it). I've done exactly what I dislike others doing and that is to make a blanketed reactionary statement based in passion and love for a series and company rather than actual fact.

Here's the thing, and it's going to sound really weird, but as a Bioware fan, this whole uproar has just made me so sad and a little heartbroken. The petition, the attacks on a female Bioware employee and the reaction I received when it was announced I was a cameo in the game just kind of...well, hurt my feelings. Plain and simple. Listen, I totally get that games are a huge investment of time and money and, as an sales product, they should provide a certain level of expectations and satisfaction for the consumer. I also am totally aware that games are now, after much fighting by the gaming community, finally considered works of art and, as art, should not always bend to what the masses want. So, I'm torn when it comes to which side of the fence I personally (not professionally) find myself standing. All in all, I've become increasingly hyper sensitive to everything surrounding the game and should, in hindsight, just try to avoid any reference to it whatsoever since I find it difficult to be objective when it comes to my personal feelings about it. Either way, this doesn't excuse my ranting behavior. As I grow older, I need to remind myself that I should also act more mature and stepping down to a level of name calling just isn't what I want to do. So, please consider this an, "I'm sorry."

I mean it wasn't Martin Sheen level, but I have heard much worse voice acting. And it was certainly not deserving of the hate shes getting. Fans are mad about the endings (Myself included) but some people are just using that anger to lash out at anything.

I didn't even know about Miss Chobot before ME3.

I'm pretty much ignoring IGN. Not because I hate them, but because they show nothing I can't get elsewhere.
If they got gameplay-footage from a game I'm looking forward to, I watch it on youtube.

I heard there is a big fuss about some of them, calling us whiners or entitled.
Well, I don't care about that, simply because I don't know these guys/gals.
Should I care of it, because they work for a bigger website?
I would never have known about it, if not for these forums.

For me, IGN are three letters I sometimes see in the lower right corner of an undocumented gameplay-vid. Nothing more, nothing less.

So I'll give Miss Chobot the same chance, as anyone I don't know.

I disliked Diane Allers. The flattest character in ME I've encountered so far.
I found the voice-acting lacking, but after hearing that it was done by a journalist, I've got to say it's better than I would have excepted.
For me, the character fails in showing any kind of emotions, in front of the camera-drone and when it's just a small-talk.
The only thing where I liked that character, was in that mail she sends at the ending.
Don't know if Miss Chobot wrote it, but if so, that would have been good work.

Legion is supposed to be a machine, awakening into being a person.
So, yeah...a robot with an AI had more emotions in that game, than Allers.
Not to mention, the voice actor did a better job in playing a robot that is beginning to feel emotions.

The sad thing is: Miss Chobot actually played the role of a woman that does more or less Miss Chobots job.
So pretty much herself.
If you can't fill someone with emotions, who is pretty similar to you, that's sad.
As Miss Chobot is a living human being like everybody else here, I assume she herself has more emotions than the character that's modeled after her.
Emotions I don't want to hurt, simply by saying what I think of her work.
I rather hope, if she's going to be in any kind of DLC, I hope she improves her work.

I don't hate Miss Chobot.
I think, she did the least good VA in the game.
Given that the rest of the VA's are professional actors and voice actors, I can't say that I blame her for that.
So she did call the fans and costumers on this forum whiners?
Well, I didn't know.
I won't know anything she says, until it's brought up on these forums.
She's one of billions of people on this planet.
Not worth more or less than anyone else.
She's a human.
Humans make mistakes, humans make great things.
I don't know her, so I don't know what things she did.

Nope, her voice acting was... well, virtually everyone I know can voice act better and her association (sad how she gets tainted by that) with IGN is another reason for contempt.

Just more proof that real television newspeople are unsuited to acting.

As for the character she played? Bland, ugly (really, really ugly in fact) and uninteresting. I would have preferred both the other alternatives instead. At least they had character and charm.

That's pretty much what I think. She's certainly not a good voice actor, but I don't care either way because at least they didn't make her character too important.


However, OP's right: Her affiliation with IGN, and the fact that those guys are no journalists but pretty much a bunch of unprofessional, arrogant brats that suck up to the industry and insult everybody who doesn't share their opinion (they do it with gamers, at least; not so much with real journalists), adds to my dislike for her.

That also gives me the feeling that she's just saying this because it finally dawned on her that
1) we're not a minority and
2) insulting your own readers is bad, because
3) insulted readers stop reading, which leads to
4) less popularity and
5) less profit.
